Yes, I think a cell phone is a very good thing to have. I have been in a couple of car wrecks, and in each of them, I used my cell phone to call for help. If I hadn't had a phone, I don't know how long I would have been waiting for someone to come along. In one of them, I was trapped inside the car, which was upside down in a creek under a tree. People were driving past me along the road, but noone could see me. My phone was a life-saver that day. Needless to say, I take it with me everywhere. I never know when my car will break down, or I will be in an accident. If I were to break down without a phone, I would be out of luck. I wouldn't trust someone that I didn't know to give me a ride or anything. You never know who is planning on hurting you.

I think a cell phone is good for when you need to keep in touch with family members, and when there might be an emergency and you need it then. The cell phone is my only phone, so I do need it, as I gave up my landline, because of all the telemarketer calls I would get. I don't know what i would do without my cell phone. My son will call me when he needs me to baby site or he needs me for other things. I would be lost without it, that is for sure, so it is relaly good for me. Take care, and happy mylotting.
