My fiance and I love to go to the county fair. Unfortunately we haven't been since a year or more before or son was born. So we really want to go this year, but the thing is there is alot of debate on weather we should take our soon to be three year old son. My opinion is I really want to take him but scared of having him out in large crowds and on top of that swine flu cases everywhere. My fiance's opinion is he is too young, he won't remember, he could get lost, he may get scared. My fiance basically thinks we should wait and im started to think so as well. My mom though thinks it would be unfair not to include him. But i told her i take him almost everywhere else like the zoo, playgrounds, play centers, and other places.
So i was hoping to get some opinions here on weather my son is too young, should i wait. Does anyone have any opinions or advice?
THanks!

jessi...I think in order to keep everyone happy, I might take an hour and a half in the afternoon (tickets are usually good for the day) and take him by yourself, so you can concentrate on his awe and wonderment, and his whereabouts! Then in the evening, you and your fiance enjoy yourselves, knowing that he has shared your love of the county fair...but he is safe and snug in his bed! He's had a great time, and you will, too, in the evening without the stress & worry. Cheers!

Thanks that is a great idea. I will have to call and ask them about that and find out prices. It is real expensive.

I have to agree with your mom. A three year old might love the fair especially if there are rides for his age group and various animals to see and pet. He may not remember it later but you can always take pictures so he can see where he went as a little boy. We always included our kids in everything we did whether they remembered or not. It was a joy to watch them smile and have fun. The swine flu hasn't hit that hard yet and if the fair is outside, I sure wouldn't worry. Enjoy your time at the fair even if your little boy doesn't go with you.
