If you want to earn really big or higher than your current rate, you might want to check on the tasks. I'm pretty sure with just one task from Sharonbucks you'll exceed your 9month drought. It's pretty easy to reach $10 payout if you just work out on the task. Discussions are not as rewarding as the task try to focus your time on tasks instead of the discussions. My strategy is to do the tasks first and once I have already reached the payout, that's the time i join the discussions.

I agree with you zedlav because I'm doing the same thing. When I was a new member I used to do only those tasks that required registration or sign-ups. But I got disappointed because I was only earning .05 cents to .10 cents. When I tried doing sharonbucks tasks that made a difference. Yesterday, I got $8.

Yeah, true enough, doing some writing tasks may help you get fast earning and reach your payout!
Do try the Sharon Bucks tasks as Zedlav mentioned earlier. A 6 paragraph tasks will get to pay $2 or some times they even pay double than that! But make sure you have enough time to finish your task and summit to the task creator before the time is expired.
Good Luck and all the best!

My own view is that it is a mistake to regard myLot as a moneymaking program. Yes, people who are very active here can and do make some pocket change (I call it lunch money!) and even I have earned enough to buy some very nice computer accessories and software with my myLot earnings, but I never think of my participation here in terms of the pennies (or fraction thereof) that we get for each discussion or reply. The real value of myLot membership is the massive amount of information presented here, much of which is indeed about how to make money online...and the camaraderie, of course.
Some people see a glass as half empty whereas others see it as half full. $1.23 is not a lot for 9 months, but it is proof that you can get something for your efforts. Something is always better than nothing. From my guess you only participated here once every 3 days or so and have not yet reached your first hundred posts. For me and from what I have seen here, when active people reach 500 posts that is when reaching the minimum payout monthly comes within their grasp. But myLot is not a get-rich scheme. It is a social networking community with a little PTW factored in just to make it interesting. To succeed, as you put it, you would have to enjoy what you are doing here enough that you would do it with or without the earnings. Those are the people who succeed here. It is up to you to decide if and how you wish to succeed.

You haven't failed so I can only discuss why you haven't made as much as you, perhaps, expected.
The reasons are clear enough. You have a large number of good quality responses to this discussion alone yet you have only left one comment and that was more or less just to say 'thank you for responding'. Also, this was posted five months ago already and your user rating is still only 94. You have clearly not been very active here.
MyLot pays us only for OUR OWN participation. It does not pay us for other people's participation. It also pays us according to the QUALITY of our participation. If the responses you give are only a few words, you will earn very little, and if the discussions you start don't merit good quality responses, then you will very likely have little to comment about (even supposing you do comment, which is the only way to make a discussion earn for you).
To learn what makes for good participation, you MUST read the Guidelines and the FAQs. They explain the ethos of MyLot and what is expected of you. There are many things that you can and should do and just a few that you should not do. Make sure that you understand that they are Guidelines and not 'rules' and don't try to abuse the site (as some people do) by trying to 'get around' or ignore them.
You cannot fail at something unless you have some kind of a goal in your mind to start with. If your goal was unrealistic (such as "I expect to make $5 a day in MyLot"), then you are bound to think that you have failed. In fact, though, you have NOT failed because you HAVE made some money (though not enough to reach payout) and, perhaps, you have learned something.
Try setting your sights a little lower or modifying your 'goal' to a more realistic end. MyLot is a place which encourages good quality discussions. It is a place where you can learn many things (including how to improve your English, thinking processes and writing skills). You can also make contact with people all over the world who are into the same kinds of interests as you. Both of those are valuable enough to make being a member of MyLot worthwhile. Added to that, however, is the bonus that you get paid a modest amount for the privilege!

sweetie, you've only posted 92 comments. That is no where near enough to earn anything decent. Try to spend an hour a day just writng good responses to mylot discussions or staring up your own discussions that you think will get a good amount of feedback.

Well, according to the number next to your name, it is quite clare you have not been very active in terms of posting discussions and contributing to them.
Post as much as you can, and check the tasks page often, and soon, the money will come rolling in.

Will, I do not think that you have failed. The reason why your earnings are quite low is simply because you have not posted much. You earning her depends on how active you are as well as the quality of post that you make. Considering that your number 94, it seems that you have not posted much and obviously your earnings will be low. I am quite sure that the moment you post more and make good post, you will certainly earn more. So keep on posting and best to you always!

Every return depends on our hard work, I thing u have missed that in last 9 months. Please do follow all the possible channels of earnings. Only participate from known and interested topics where you can give good replies which qualities and rates you more. This will surely increase your earnings.

Hi kguru, well I've had a quick look to see if I can spot the problem for you and I'm afraid it's glaringly obvious why you don't make any money for two reasons.
Firstly you pose a question and then don't comment on the response you receive which naturally means you won't earn anything, and secondly if the discussion before this one was a sample of your previous postings how on earth could you expect anyone to respond to such drivel even if you did comment back.
Mylot is intended for quality discussions, not inane questions. Hope that helps.

I really don't know why, but seeing as you only have 94 posts after being here for 9 months, then maybe you should have made more posts. Or do you make lots of comments instead? It could be the content that you are putting here. Maybe you also need to make longer posts.

Hello Kguru,
Nice discussion you have there. I try to solve your problem, !
If you can make good money in other programs, I am sure you can do the same at Mylot!
First of all, in order to earn money here at Mylot, you need to devote your time just like what you did in your other programs. First thing is TIME, secondly is your participation . You never get to earn if you do nothing at Mylot!
Just go back to your discussion, you have 9 months time here and you only earn $1.23, but look at your posting, in fact you have only posted 94 responses on others discussion. That means you did only 10 response in 1 month and there is none for a day. How about creating a discussion? It is a good way to earn too. But make sure you reply back every responses you have receive, so you get the earning for yourself. You will only get earn if you post more than 3 full lines contents.
Another great news for you is try to get some active referrals . If you have someactive referrals at Mylot, there you can sit back and let your referrals help you up on your payout!

First off, I don't think of coming to MyLot as a way of making money. Instead, I come here because I like to have the opportunity to take part in intelligent conversation while my husband is at work and I am at home alone with a 2-year-old. However, since you are looking to figure out the reason why you've failed here, there is one specific thing that I can see. You simply aren't active enough. I've only been mylotting for about two months and I post as many posts as you've done in nine months in a week or less. You've got to be active here to succeed and I believe that is where you are falling short.

Maybe you should spend more time here in mylot and post more often everyday. Tomorrow will be my first month here but I earned thrice more than what you earned. Keep posting quality discussion and keep responding. Happy Mylotting!

Hi. I noticed you only have 94 beside your name meaning you posted just around 94 responses for the 9 months. It is a bit low. That is why you earned less than two bucks. Here in mylot, diligence is key. You really need to post more responses. Maybe you can post at least 10 a day. You can also start your own discussions. Also, you should post at least a response of at least 4 lines, I think. The longer the response the better.

Well, if you haven't been logging in, then how are you supposed to make money? But when you are logged in, you can expect the money to come flowing in, you need to WORK. There are lots of discussions to participate in, which can be interactive and get you some $$$ at the same time. there are also tasks available for you to do, which will help boost your earnings in a more rapid manner, that is if you have enough time to do them.

hello kguru,
Well, Let me see here..hmmmmm. low number of post, been here for nine months and only got one dollar and twenty three cents. you know what i can get that barely in a day. the reason why you only got that after nine months because you're not so active here. if you spent little time in here, what can you expect? mylot pays for your work, and your work alone represents the cause of your participation, which is am very sorry kguru, so little. if you spent more time here, you might turn that around. and by the way, you don't earn from our responses unless you comment on them. have a great day

Firstly, did you read all of MyLot rules before starting to post? Are you here daily? Do you post and respond to comments made on them? Did you write at least three sentences per post and response? If you do all this you would have got hundreds of USD by now.
Also do the task, You can give you plenty of USDs withing days.

Yes, I agree with what everyone has said - you have not earned much for nine months simply because you haven't participated enough. Earnings grow here the more you respond to discussions, or start your own, or by posting photos, doing tasks, etc.
I have only been here around two months and am nearly at payout - I do have a lot of time as I am at home during the day at the moment, though!
Try doing even just ten posts a day - in time that will add up and you will reach payout. Good luck!
