I understand the mentality most people are hate to be called fat. They would try anything to try to get them back to shape. It doesn't men or women. For me too, once my cousin commented about my weight. He told me that I was added up a couple more pounds recently. I felt so furious, and right after he left. I will exercise, and eat less in attempt to try to get myself back to the original shape. So, does someone comment on your weight will affect you?

I guess that really offended you somehow if someone wants to make comment on your weight. I hate it too, but I can't stop people's mouth. They have every right to comment on others. I just couldn't stop them. I will feel upset, but I will try my best to lose them.

It depends on who made the comment and the way it was said. But generally the word fat implies a kind of sickness or something negative. Most people I'm sure will react when they are called fat. To some cultures, I think, they don't mind because fat connotes health. If a person is fat, it means that person is healthy.

I get those remarks also recently. I'm not really that fat, fat. I went to our company clinic's fair once and someone get my age, height and weight and after inputting all those data in the computer, the computer said I was really obese. Body-mass-wise, they told me that I was obese. It started me to exercise every morning and eat healthy.

well, take care of yourself. Do not let people bring your self - esteem down. You are still beautiful inside just remember. You can improve your outside as much as you can. You are beautiful, and you can do anything to make yourself more than beautiful.

Hello clorissa
It really hurts my feelings if someone comments on my weight gain. Most of the ones who has said to me that I have gained some weight need to look at themselves. They too have put on a few pounds. When this does happen, yeah I get in the mood to try and do something about it. I start with this diet plan and exercise plan. I have it all worked out now..Well it is the next day and I forgot what my plan was and grap that brownie off the store shelf...LOL..

It has bothered me before when people have called me fat, and I did try to do things like not eat, or eat very little, or drink lots of water to lose weight. I don't mind if it's the way they say I'm gaining more lbs. is in a constructive way as to not hurt my feelings, but if they out right say "your fat" it hurts my feelings.

I've been followed around by employers and teachers and accused of throwing my food up just because i happen to be skinny. I do have a little curve to me but I'm not morbidly obese or as some say "chunky" so that must mean I'm bulemic or anorexic. Pisses me off to no end. I wish to god I was fat

yes i do mind if people comment on my weight. i already know I'm above average for my height, its not as if its never occurred to me, and for another thing its none of their business. Just because i'm a little over weight, doesn't make me unattractive. i still manage to maintain a loving relationship with a woman who is considerably less overweight than i am, and i would consider myself a fairly attractive man from the shoulders up, lol... but that's beside the point, if my girlfriend had gained a few pounds and asked me if i thought she was fat, of course the answer would be no, not just to save my butt, but because the only reason she thinks she is fat, is because the media tells her to be thin.

I hate it when people comment on my weight!!! Im not the fat girl im the stick thin girl and even though theres nothing wrong with me people seem to instantly presume i have anorexia or bulimia! Ive always been really thin and even though most bigger girls are dreaming of becoming thin, im the girl dreaming about being fat! i think curves are sexy not bones and it only puts me down when people comments about it!! keep you comments to yourself!!!

I am overweight.I try walking and dieting.Curiously,I am more concerned about the disadvantages of being overweight than what other people think about me.Though I am working, and i drive my car daily to my workplace ,getting in and out is little difficult.

I don't mind being called fat. I have a fairly built body but then there are times that I really gain weight like during Christmas season or festivities because there are a lot of delicious foods that I cannot simply ignore from eating. However, that really depends on how people say it. If it's insulting in nature, then I am somehow offended but I try to be as nice as possible in saying that I am not. Sometimes people here in our country will comment how much you gain weight is just a way of greeting you. Funny is it? But that's just the way it is here. :)

I am hurt when someone calls me fat. But I cannot avoid it these days as after giving birth, I gain few more kgs. It is very hard to be back into old shape again. But those remarks from your colleague saying you gain so much weight or downright say 'you're fat!' serve as my motivations to lose weight. I go to the gym every week now and decided every ounce of weight I gain in no time. Hopefuly it works that way.
