Hi ganesh,
I also receive a similar SMS but this one is for Nokia. They said I won 1,000,000 pounds and ask me to contact them. I see the email address and I know it is a scam because it doesn't use the Nokia email address but like a free email.
Don't fall in their trap or else you definitely will regret it.

A message like this will never be true...I'm sorry to tell you that no one will ever give you that much money. So NEVER give out your personal information like that over the phone, or over an email or anything...unfortunatly there are too many people out there that would have NO problem sleeping after scamming others.

I've received several messages of that nature. The latest one was from a Nigerian attorney working for a Bank in Nigeria telling me of the family who all perished from a plane crash. They left a fortune in a bank with no known beneficiaries. If I am willing, he said, I can stand as a family member since I am an asian, it will not pose any problem. The couple, apparently, were asians. He wanted me to communicate with him and gave me a link. I didn't bother, I'm sure that's a scam and I don't want myself to get into trouble with the idea of getting easy money.
Yes, several messages about winning lotteries and raffles go around. The best thing to do is just to ignore and delete them right away. At least that's what I am doing.
have fun!

Absolutely, do NOT send any details to these addresses.
It is all a huge scam, or some kind of a con.
I got a message on my landline just yesterday, telling me i had won a holiday, i hung up, without even listening to it, it is all rubbish, will end up with them wanting you to purchase something, and cost you money for a pointless phone call etc.
Ignore, and delete!

That is absolutely rubbish. Never believe those kind of sms. Even the same TA- Congrats mesage I got and it read as 5,00,000 pounds draw has been awarded. I just gave my fake details and identity to their respective contact address and i received a message that I must pay 250 Pounds inorder to avail the check for 5,00,000 pounds. That is absoutely rubbish and I never encourage those kind of messages. My sincere advise to others is to stay away from the scam messageS. Thanks for posting the discussion and have a great day. Happy Mylotting. Cheers:-)

Never believed unless you will be personally contacted or the company would call you and asks you to be in their office.

Don't believe on that message it's a scam. They usually send those kind of message and then if you give out your information you now in trouble. They will ask some money from you for you to get the price but the real thing is there is no price waiting for you. They just want you to give your money to them. And after that you will probably lose your communication with them. But they already have your money.. Beware..

Just remember if you never enter a contest you will never win one. There is not one company out there that will randomly select someone to just hand over money like that. Same with lotteries that you may see in your e-mails. If you didnt enter it you didnt win it clown like that should hung by their fingernails. To many fraudulent things now a days.

These days different crimes have come to emerge like never before. One is text scam. We should not believe text message directly especially if you didn't join a promo. There is no such thing as winning without joining more often that not. We should be aware that there are many who were victimized by unscrupulous people. We need to make sure that we will not waste our fortune.

Did you enter such a competition to win such a prize ?
If you did not enter you could not have won anything, that is the golden rule. Spam is rampant and is gaining popularity on the cell phones.
Always be careful when filling in any form weather it be paper or online that asks for your phone number. If in doubt leave it out. Phones numbers are valuble to spammers just like you email adress.
So just think before you fill out that form asking for your details

ganeshj86 those messages are like internet scams. Do not believe any of this. Remember you cannot won any contest or raffles if you haven't joined any. There are people who really do anything to get money from others. If you send them information about yourself or contacted them to verify your winnings, they will start telling you that you need to pay certain amount of money for processing fees or transfer charges for you to claim your price.
Once you fall from the sweet talks of scammers, you will end up paying and not getting any money in return. There is no such thing as random email draw or cellphone number draw. And one more thing, a person who won any raffle or lottery or contest is not charged any amount of money. Any fees involved in processing will be deducted from the amount won indicated sometimes as tax. No advance cash out from winner.
Hope this help.

...Hi ganeshj86. Delete the message and keep moving. I have gotten messages on my computer from people in other countries, who need a sponsor. They have inherited money and they need someone of a certain age to sign for them and pay a certain tax or some crazy story, then you will receive a portion of their inheritance. There was one message I received which said I had won thousands of dollars, all I had to do was contact this individual who would give me instructions on how to obtain my winnings. If I won anything, I would think it would be sent without any intervention on my part. So beware of nutso messages. Take care.

It seems like a big scam to me. This messages are meant to steal people. Once i received a similar message (i think i "won" a car or something). But i didnt pay atention to it. Though i know someone who was scammed by this. The maid of my grandparent received the same message than me and she decided to give her personal info. She payed to a guy something like 50 dollars. And well, she never saw that guy again. So never trust this messages that tell you that you have won big money.
