The most used tool for programming games is C++ and for good reasons . Java , just like the .NET framework uses Just-in-time compilation , will always be slower than native C++ code . A great article can be found here : http://www.jelovic.com/articles/why_java_is_slow.htm .

I don't know if more game programs are written in Java. If I'm not mistaken, Microsoft only came out with development tools for web after her .NET technology, before that we can only use Microsoft development tools for Windows applications, otherwise most of the programmers prefer Java. Also, I think it's better to apply object-oriented concept in developing games, Java is really good in developing object-oriented programs.
I only learn Java in college, and when I started to work, the companies that I joined all use Microsoft development tools, which is Visual Basic, or C#, as the companies like Microsoft products. As for Java, I have heard some friends saying, it loads faster as compared to an application developed by .NET, but it's easier to build using .NET. I am not sure how true it is.

I think, in programming languages, in a web there are two types of visual basic and java. Java shaped like C language, and the order can not be random. If we put a script that does not irregular in java programs, there will be an error condition in which every program has their own algorithm.
