I am always on messenger chattting with my friends and I do love my chatting however there are just times when the volumes of people chatting or wanting to check with me simply overwhelms my two hands .As a result I have had to set my messenger to sign me in as invisible and then choose to be online to a few people.I hope when my friends read this they wont take me to task but these are just a few ways that I have to use to regulate my chatting traffic. How to you manage your chatting experience ?

I did not know you can do that, sounds like a good idea or like you say get swamped.I don't really go on face book or twitter. You leave such short messages ,I like to have a good old yang when starting a chat.My daughter asked me to stop emailing her as it took her all day to read it.I treated like a letter and told her everying about who I had seen ,what we talked about,if it was raining and so on.

Yes, sometimes I did sign in to messenger and put myself invisible to others, especially when I did not feel like chatting, but just wanted to find someone to talk to or discuss on something. There are some times when we do not feel like chatting, but just want to be alone. If we don't put ourselves invisible, when some friends send in message, it's hard to tell them "I am not in a mood to chat, please leave me alone", right? Also, I do not really like to put myself in Busy mode, I do not know why, I'd think setting invisible is better.

Hi ronnyb, I am also signing in, in the messenger invisible. This is to avoid interruption in the stuffs I am doing. Sometimes I am signing in invisible then check who are on line if I want to chat those people I will change my status to available. But very often I am keeping my account invisible.

I'm going to do what you have said sometimes it is very annoying when other users are so obscene and nonsense. It is hard to trust someone in the messenger I only want to chat to someone who are nice. Right now I I change my status to invisible so others would not distract me.

I often set up my status in invisible mode sothat I won't be bothered by too many people. However, I know that in Yahoo Messenger, we can choose to be invisible for someones and be visible for some others, but I don't use this application because it's long to mark all the choices and it's complicated to change after.

Yup I have. But that was last time because nowadays I don't use messenger anymore. I would have to put on an invisible mode because I was working and had no time to respond to chats on real-time. There were quite a few friends upset whenever I wasn't on invisible mode and couldn't answer promptly. So I decided to put on an invisible mode to not hurt their feelings in that sense.

Well I'll sign in as invisible if I don't have alot of time to spend chatting, especially when my inbox is full of notifications from Mylot and surveys, it takes awhile trying to catch up with those, and if I see some of my friends online, I know if I start chatting with them I'll never get anything done. It sounds mean but I have to do something or else my inbox will stay full, I can get up to 200 messages a day in my inbox and it takes a couple days to get it dwindled down..lol.

Hello my friend ronnyb Ji, Well, some time back in 2002, when my dayghter got married, it was fancy for me to chat with her at pre-appointed time, with my web-cam. I never chatted with un-known peopl as routine chatting. I do not have taht much time to spare. May God bless You and have a great time.

I've come and gone from yahoo, assuming you're talking about yahoo, several times. I have friends on my messy list, but those are only contacts that I talk on the phone with. I keep the contacts down to people that I've talked to off and on for a few months. I sort them out and over time you realise who are realy people and who are just those that drain you. I understand the pop ups though. LOL, just when I'm getting into mylot I get a pop up from a person then oops there she goes again.

Yes, i understand that completely. I have had to do the same thing before. It can be really annoying especially when you do work on the computer too. This one dude used to hit that stupid BUZZ button if i didnt respond the second the message came through. I finally had to remove him from the messanger list. As well as the from the friends list on the site we met. Now i save the messanger for family and friends that i actually know. There are a few there that i have met and talk to online. The 2 sites i socalize on are very good about letting me know if i have a message. I will not give them my private email till i socialize with them first on the other sites.

I have no much user like others.. So I no need to keep invisible all the time until I need to chat with important people or while I am very busy in chatting with once concern. It happens once in a while and not regular with me. Yes, organizing your chatting traffic is very important as it requires to do our regular work properly.

Hi ronnyb, I do have Msn messenger and sometimes I will login to messenger when I am free. Not all the time when I am online, I will login to messenger. With my two hands and limited of time for me to online, I prefer to do other necessary things like updating my blog, doing MyLot,surf nets for some info,Facebook-ing and other banking online stuffs. Actually, when I am login to facebook, I can also chat with my friends. Most of the time, I will only online at night time ,almost to midnight. So I only have about 3-4 hours to online and do my stuffs. Chatting with friends are still On,but I will pay my most attention to MyLot and blogging. When I am really busy with my online stuffs, then I choose not to login to Messenger.

yes, i am always invisible when i sign in. that way, i am the only one to initiate chats as i see who are online. i have to regulate whom i chat because if i don't, i won't have time for everything (especially mylot). if i chat and do mylot at the same time, i won't have concentration doing the discussions. sometimes, i just leave offlines to my friends.
