Another rant...kids and their racist comments

You know, I'm really starting to question the intelligence of the youth in this country. Today, while driving my sister to work I had this teenager drive up beside me and start cussing me out for no apparent reason. That stupid kid stuck with me for a bit over two whole blocks yelling racist and really inappropriate comments. The worst part was that my parents were in the car with me at the time. I don't care if the comments were directed at me but it really pissed me off when he started talking trash about my parents. He was yelling that we should go back to our country (we're Asian-Americans if you're wondering), this was their land and how it was all about "white power" and all that garbage. Something like this just makes me really mad. I really hate people like that. It makes me wonder what the heck parents are teaching their kids because this kind of behavior seems really common nowadays, at least from what I noticed.

There are just people like this in the world no matter where you go. I'm guessing he was probably drunk or high? If you looked at what kind of car he had, it probably wasn't very good-looking (unless it wasn't his). Racist jokes are one thing, but cussing someone out randomly on the street? Not very funny.

I'm thinking the car belonged to his parents or something. It was a nice looking gold colored PT Cruiser. And my mom thought that he was drunk or something because she said that he looked that way. That made me even more worried because this happened around the time that school let out and there was this fool that was possibly drunk driving around sprouting bs.

I hate stuff like that too. I haven't really seen any of it or heard anything from my kids (we're white) about then seeing people being treated that way. I bet they did get it from their parents. :-(

You know, I would not be surprised if they did. I used to live in this a predominant white community a few years back and some of the people there were really racist towards other ethnic groups. They pretty much passed on their sentiments to their kids while they were really small. They'd tell their kids not to play with other kids that weren't the same skin color and everything. It was really crazy. I remember this incident when I was in junior high. Some Asian kids got into a fight with some white kids and all the sudden every Asian kid in the town were considered delinquents and bad.
