Do you think actors/actresses get paid to much?

I believe actors/actresses get paid to much. As where Doctor's, Firemen ect. don't nearly earn as much as as actors do.You have the actor who plays a doctor, who pretends to save someone's life. And on the other side you have the real doctor who saves lives, fixes people and busts his butt for 70+ hrs a week and doesn't get nearly as much as the guy who pretends to do the same. I was wondering how many of you felt the same?

I always thought that actors and actresses get paid way to much for work that is all fake. Where as Police, Firemen, some Doctors don't get paid nearly as much. I think it is totally ridiulous what the entertainment industry makes compared to things that are so much more important in the world.

agreed on lelin1123 as well, not because i can't be an actress or so, but it's true that in nowdays, some professionals is doing much more meaningful works for the society but not paid as what they deserved. once i saw a documentary film from the director of 911, is talking about the volunteers who worked for 911 for saving lives but got sick after, they can't even afford to pay they treatment bills, only because they are not covered by the insurance for volunteer jobs. Those people are heroes, shouldn't they deserv better pay other than the actors?

Yes, actors are paid WAY too much. They don't help people or better the world and all they do is live like queens and kings and sit back while everyone else who work thier butts off helping people suffer.

Entertainment industry is a big industry.The moviemakers invest millions of dollars for movies.With globalisation of every industry film industry also has become very big.The moviemakers makes huge profit.So for paying the actors huge amount,huge for normal people is not a big thing for them.The people behind the scenes -the directors,producers earn much more than that.
If we compare the earnings of actors with doctors and some govt. or private employees who work very hard a huge difference comes.The big thing is that doctors or other professionals cannot earn money like actors just by simple practice.Doctors or professionals can earn lots of money only by making others life miserable.So dedicated people should not consider money tn be everything.
Now here people are ready to spend lots of money which ultimately reach the entertainers.People cannot live without them and so they go on spending.I think there is nothing wrong in that they earn a lot.Enjoyed the discussion.

Yeah I understand that. But even the President of the United States doesn't even make close to what actors get paid. That's a little ridiculous too.
