.command is missing

try starting in safe mode if u need to really use command prompt use it when u start ur system when it shows option start in command mode

Now, I am sure that something is completely wrong with your computer. It definitely has a virus. You can get back the .command through installation cd if you still can't find it anywhere in your computer system. Can you still access your Task Manager? If not, you better reformat your computer or else it'll never open soon. My desktop computer was like that before. Guess our PC caught the same virus...over the net...

How do you open command prompt? Just go to run and type "cmd" without quotes and enter.. I hope it will work.. else it's because one of the following files is missing from \WINNT\System32 or \WINDOWS\System32: * Config.nt * Autoexec.nt * Command.com Check to see that these files are there. If not, expand them from the install CD and copy them to \WINNT\System32 or \WINDOWS\System32. They'll be on the CD in the \I386 folder as: Config.nt_ autoexec.nt_ command.co_ From a command prompt window, type Expand /? to get instructions for using Expand. Or if it is on your PC, copy those file(s) from C:\windows\repair or c:\winnt\repair into your \system32 directory. You may need to make sure that you can see system and hidden files in Explorer. It is gone via a virus. like trozan which attack on cmd file first on windows. Whenever you try to open cmd it may be restart of computer.. I think you used good antivirus like norton av and format the PC... becuase after scan by antivirus may be defect system file

CMD This program c: \ windows \ system32 \ cmd.exe, go for a search, is not a program is missing, and if so, download a make up on the list.
