I have a former workmate who had hidden her relationship with our other workmate. They've been together for a long time now and recently I heard that she has been rumoured pregnant. I don't have news from her about this but I am worried this may affect her reputation since they have hidden and thoroughtly denied their relationship in the past. What do you think is the best thing for them to do now since pregnancy is something that can not be hidden for so long?

that's one of the reasons I suppose, another is because the girl is Chinese and the other is not. There is a practice that Chinese should marry another Chinese.

Yes indeed, pregnancy can't be hidden for long. I got pregnant at the end of September 2008 and I wanted to keep that a secret. That is because I have a son that was born in 2007 with spina bifida and hydrocephalus. I knew that people wonder if my next baby had that as well. When people could notice my bump I have to tell them that I was pregnant. I had a 16 week scan at the fetal medicine unit that said I would have a healthy baby girl. In June 2009 I did have my healthy little baby daughter. So your workmate won't be able to hide it if she is pregnant I imagine for very much longer.

I have a few questions. Why do they want to keep there relasionship a secret? Just becouse they are differnt races it should not matter. She is not going to be able to hide the pregnacy for long. Whene I got pregnat with my daughter I started showing at about 2 months. They need to come out in the open and hope for the best. I dont think it should matter if they work in the same place as long as they keep it profestional in the office. I hope all goes wll for them.

Better not get involve with the "gossip" cause if its true, sooner or later the big tummy can't be hidden. Maybe they have plans for it, they're old enough to plan for their own, right?

Get married as soon as possible, i suppose. It's the best they can do, so that the woman's reputation wouldn't be that ruined, everyone will start to accept the pregnancy sooner or later. They will have to let everyone know about it formally, rather than keep it as a secret. Keeping it as a secret would be pointless, they can't hide it for long anyway. So they better try and appear like they planned everything out.
That's just my opinion

Depends on what they themselves want really! They can either get married or go for abortion or the lady might want to be a single mom. We too had this situation in our office…the girl was pretty young and the guy was very much married. She became pregnant and went for an abortion and somehow the news leaked out and all hell broke loose in the office.
