Do you like bargaining? are you good at it?

This is an interesting topic. Yes most people hesitate to bargain either due to shyness or due to embarrassment.. But to bargain is an art which not everyone posses, including me. we cant bargain in all places. It depends on the type of product and the place where it is sold. Products sold on pavements and pushcart are liable to bargain. Generally shopkeepers do not entertain any form of bargaining... I on my part do ask for a discount may be just once or twice. If the owner obliges then its ok. Else i pay the amount and buy it at the prescribed price..thx

I think I'm neither too good, nor too bad when it comes to bargaining. I am kind of average & will try to minimize my loss while buying new things. Happy Lotting

Oohh please... I hate bargaining. It takes a lot of time to do for a small stuff. Do they know how to calculate the price? As a seller, they need to learn how to calculate the selling price, Cost of Goods Sold + Margin = Selling price. Very simple and they just cannot do it They never realize, people will find out if they sell it too high. If they find out, there is no chance you will see this person again in your store. They don't understand what is the meaning of Customer Service and what is good marketing Anyway, some people like to go to the shop where they can do a bargaining. I know some friends who love to do the bargaining. Maybe, she feels like successfully making a good deal with the seller. I don't like bargaining too. It just a waste of time. If I feel it is too expensive, then I don't buy

I agree that bargaining is an art, and I consider myself good enough at it. But it doesn't mean that I love bargaining, I don't! It doesn't help you when you don't have enough time to shop. I prefer going to places where bargaining is not allowed and look for the sale if I want a good deal.

i believe that i am quite good at it and that is really a good advantage no matter where i am. bargaining is really easy to do especially when the salesperson is a man. lol. my sister and i really love bargaining with men because we can sometimes make them bend to our will. i believe most girls feel the same. i love bargaining when i really get what i want and i get more than expected. yes, it's true that it's an art and if most people are skilled at it, businesses would be really be thriving. haha.

that's is true.i thinking bargaining is really an art.i'm not good at it either.to bargain successfully,you must first know the products very well.you know its original price,that's not easy for our ordinary people.so i prefer to buy things from the stores that bargaining is forbidden.

Hello shaly_hh. I like bargaining, but I am not good at it. Maybe it is because of my gender. I have found that my female friends and colleagues are very good at bargaining, so is it with my wife and sisters.

I love shopping, especially if I am shopping at bazaars or marketplaces for cheap clothes, etc. That is how my bargaining skills are enhanced and practiced. My friends tell me I am very good at bargaining. In fact, when my friends and I shop together, they tell me what they want to buy then I am the one who does the bargaining for them. I like bargaining. In a way, it is a way of developing and practicing your people skills and charisma. Building a rapport with another person gives me a high.

I would love to be good at it, but sadly I am not. I am quite bad at it, even! I do have a friend who is very good at it, and I have tried asking her for tips and stuff, but they don't really seem to work for me either. I think it is one of those things that you either can or cannot do, naturally.
