WHY YOUR COMPUTER CRASHES. What do you do?

I received this in an email a few years ago and found it while clearing out files. Very cleverly put together, though a bit out-of-date now, it is still quite amusing. If a packet hits a pocket on a socket on a port, and the bus is interrupted at a very last resort, and the access of the memory makes your floppy disk abort, then the socket packet pocket has an error to report. If your cursor finds a menu item followed by a dash, and the double-clicking icon puts your window in the trash, and your data is corrupted coz the index doesn't hash, then your situation's hopeless and your system's gonna crash! If the label on the cable on the table at your house, says the network is connected to the button on your mouse, but your packets want to tunnel to another protocol, that's repeatedly rejected by the printer down the hall And your screen is all distorted by the side effects of gauss, so your icons in the window are as wavy as a souse; then you may as well reboot and go out with a bang, 'coz sure as I'm a poet, the sucker's gonna hang. When the copy on your floppy's getting sloppy in the disk, and the macro code instruction is causing unnecessary risk, then you'll have to flash the memory and you'll want to RAM your ROM, and quickly turn off the computer and be sure to tell your Mom! Does that clear things for you or make you more confused? Are you able to rectify things when they go wrong? Or do you panic or just call for someone else?

Oh yes, I've seen that one going around on e-mail, gave me a chuckle a while back.. Now I'm annoyed, you're the third person I've found where I have my notify is on and I'm not getting notified of your discussions. I'm going to have to keep an eye out the old fashioned way. :-(

My eye? Nope, I will just have to hop by your profile every so often like the blue bunny and see if you're posted anything new...

That's great :) might need a little updating, but still holds true I think on the most part. Great rhyming.

Good rhyming, I loved it:) Well about telling my mom, I don't agree with. I will rather push myself to the holy task even if that leads to completely crashing the pc. I don't care ..Usually I get successful, else I would appreciate to get help from someone: here or there (on net)... I am going to copy that poem, thank you!

I'm glad you enjoyed it, even though it is outdated. I daresay some users wouldn't even know what a floppy is.

I thought it was great! I once had a computer that went into perpetual seek mode, meaning I don't know what it was doing, but it did it for two days, while I was worried about shutting it down and losing all my information. lol At the end of the two days, I just shut it off, and then rebooted, so thank God, for having reference dates saved! Never again, though! lol

We know it isn't true, but they do say computers have a mind of their own. Being completely non-techno, I get on the phone to my sons who "walk" me through whatever needs to be done.
