Not choosing best response?

It takes a heck of a lot to make me get angry and it hardly ever happens on here. I certainly do not get angry about users choosing or not choosing the best response. In the FAQs we are told to wait at keast a week before awarding it to give others the chance to respond. Remeber that we are not all online everyday or even every week and maybe a response worthy of being awarded as 'the best' could arrive a long time after the discussion was posted. What is disappointing is when a BR is awarded within minutes of the discussion be posted. It is completely gping against what we are told in the FAQs and can be reported if it is seen to happen. I guess people are just lazy and only really look at the discussion once and not return to it again.

If you award BR it doesn't affect your credentials anyhow w.r.t. earnings, but the person may get encouraged to reply more. When I respond to a post the idea of getting a BR doesn't even cross my mind! I remember once I was so much trying to get BR but it was for fun only and that too with those people who get disappointed easily and award best response to only answer they have(mine in this case)! Don't get discouraged.. if a best response boosts you up then a nice thank you will also do the same. And my, why to get angry at all?

I wait at least 1 or 2 days before giving my best response to responders! This is like a gift recognizing them for a thoughtful answer I was looking for! This is basically an ego booster and nothing else! It doesn't have anything to do with your earnings or reputation as far as I know! But you will see an area called unresolved discussions. Giving the best response out resolves your discussions! If you don't do this they will pile up on you! Note this doesn't close the discussion and people can still comment at anytime! tdemex

Hi Pulkitgenius, I don't see the point why have to get angry when we are not choosing as the best responses. In MyLot, what you need to do is to give the best respond to other people discussions based on your experience and your own ideas.Whether will get the best response or not is another issue. I never aiming for best response title, of course, I will be more happy when I received the message on my best response from Mylot. Although I am not receiving the 'best response' messages everyday, I am still motivated to stay active in MyLot. It is kinda of determination from myself to stay active and earn more each day. Hi pulkitgenius How are you today? I see by reading your discussion that you have some concerns about the way mylot is operating by others. I will have to agree with some of the other responses that you need to have patience. I learned when I first joined this site that you have to be nice and get friends. I now have made numberous friends and get great response on my discussions. My friend just give it some time and continue to make great responses and yours will come in time..Have a great day,keep smiling, and keep up the good work on your discussions..

I think some just opt not to choose one. I noticed that your discussion without a best response mark will go to your unresolved tab.

Some not only don't give best response, but they don't always post comments either. I try to do both, as I feel that if they are going to take the tim to respond, I am going to comment on it and also giving best response, lets the user know that I did take the time to read their response and award them the bast one. I think too, why some don't give besr response, si that they just couldn't find oen that suit the discussion they started. I find it hard to pick just the best one too, as sometimes there are several good responses, and then other times, they aren't all that good. I think we should all try to award the best response if at all possible. I do wait awhile before I give it, sometimes more than a week, but I want to give everyone a chance to respond that wants to. Hi pulkitgenius, I think it is not good to keep your discussion unresolved. It is annoying to see the discussion unresolve for a very long time. Why we started a discussion when we didn't want to resolved it? I think most of the unresolved discussions is from people who love to started a lot of discussion at once. Usually this members would not go back to his/her discussion to read the responses and comment it back. They just want to started a discussion and they think they will earn a lot from it. How they gonna resolved it if they never comeback to his/her discussion? There are also a few discussion started by someone who doesn't come again to mylot after posting their discussion. It is happen especially from newbies when they didn't earn as much as they expected here. Of course they will never earn enough if they didn't come back to their discussion and leave their comments. But the most annoying thing for me is when someone pick a best response just after a few minutes he/she started a discussion. It is still okey if he/she need a solution for his/her problem but not if it is about a general things. Even mylot encourage us to wait for a week before we choose the best response. I don't mind if my discussion does not pick as a best response because who ever the discussion started picked, he/she is the best from the point of view of this discussion starter. But if he/she choose me, I ill be delight.

For me no best response means the discussion is yet to be resolved. Why creating a discussion without conclution? I personally wouldn't do that. I will choose best response, no matter how many responses I get.

I have many discussions that has not yet been resolved but I plan to choose a best response soon. I was delighted to see that I got already four best responses as of this moment. I'm quite saddened now that I couldn't choose a best response in my recent discussion because I don't know but somehow it cannot be responded too even though someone wants to respond. I'm quite lucky for now that I could still post some responses here and there. I'm getting errors and I never had a discussion without respondents ever before. I don't know what is mylot's problem but things are very limited for me now. There are times I couldn't even send message to my friends and it all started today

Hi pulkitgenius, well! like you iam also responding several discussions but i'm not chosen best response.By the way i am new in mylot,but i do my best to respond always.For me even though i'm not chosen as best response it is okay for me,because i am enjoying.When i did my response it is full of emotions that comes from my heart.Thanks and Good Luck!

Well im kind of new in here and i havent made too many discussions myself. Actually, in the ones that people have answered i didnt even think about giving someone a best response. Now that you say it perhaps i should mark best responses. Although i think its not mandatory to do it so, but just a nice way to recompense the ones who has answered the best.

This happen with me of course and sometimes I may forget to choose a best response too. But in my opinion, I won't tend to become angry although there are many people who don't choose best response. As a newbie, people may not familiar with the feature, so they don't do that just for their unknown. Some people don't want to choose a BS just because there are really no best response and they have no choice to finish it. Try your best here and don't lay too much emphasis on it. Happy myLotting.
