Is this happening to you at Mylot?

I have opted not to view mature content on Mylot. If there is a mature content in a comment/response then it is blocked automatically and cannot be viewed.
However mature content appear under discussions(today's top, new, recent etc) and is visible. If I open one such discussion, then all the mature contents are also visible. However the mature comments are not visible.
Due to this problem I tend to stumble upon mature content which the author has included inside the discussion.
Is there any way I can block mature discussion?

Yes, and I have sent notices to myLot staff in the past about times when the filter doesn't work, as I would rather not see that stuff. On the other hand, sometimes the censor stops me from submitting discussions when using words that everyday words used in perfectly nice conversation. The censor is fickle, apparently.

I have not had any problems yet but would not want to see that stuff either. I to have seen words that are use in the title of a discussion I am responding to I might use in my response and the censor stops me from using that word. I also agree the censor is a little fickle.

Good thing that's the only thing happening to you. Me and some on my friend list are having trouble in responding and posting discussions starting today and it has been several hours to be exact that our discussions can never get to be responded because the respond button is not really functional. What's worst is that our discussion are transferred in the general category upon submitting. I cannot contact mylot because there is n option to contact them appearing in the contacts tab. I tried the whole day catching people's attention but to no avail they don't seem to notice me. Have you tried responding in the "no responses tab" most of them are not respond-able no matter what you do...

You'd think that they would have it all set up so that a person can't view any adult content at all...but I guess from your discussion it isn't so..maybe contact mylot i the best advice I could give. Or stay away with any discussions that has the words adult content in the tags..but that doesn't help the ones you get in your email inbox..hope it gets fixed to your satisfaction soon.

I don't know, but I certainly wish there were. I'd love for my 19 year old daughter to join. She's an awesome writer, and has begun to write Sunday School lessons for preschoolers. She's even trying her hand at a devotional or two. But there are discussions on here that aren't fit for me to read and I'm 42! It has nothing to do with me trying to shelter her or not wanting her to grow up (There will probably be some that will accuse me of this)
I just have, like I believe you do as well, higher morals than that. I don't have any desire to read some of the filth and trash talk that some members seem intent on starting.

hello vanillarey... i did not activate that option. i can view mature contents and if that doesn't suit me then i will not just read and just skip it. however, if you think you would not want that, and that's primarily the reason why you opted not to view the mature content, then you shouldn't be able to view it. maybe its just one of the settings or the scripts in mylot that failed to work? and you were able to view by chance? did it happen only once? or is it still happening to you now? if yes, then maybe you can write to admin about it so they can check their settings or scripts. hope this helps! happy mylotting and see your around here in mylot :)

I don't have problems reviewing mature content. I can read the content just fine. I am however having problems when posting a disscussion. I finish writing it and goes like I can put a tag on my discussion and then immediately directs me to this page that say this discussion has been deleted due to discussion guidelines. I can write a discussion but it won't let me tag my discussion. When I look at my topics i wrote the discussion is there but I have wriiten like twelve things and I have not got any responses. I am wondering if they are deleted and I am the only that can see them. I hope other people can see them but I am beging to doubt that. I am alittle worried. If you to are experiencing problems let me know. I don't know if this would make a difference but I did meet my payout for the month.

I'm surprised this is happening to you. I have never had that experience. I o ject to calling it mature content though. To me it is immature content. Those that want to have real discussions do not have mature content on their profile. That is my opinion anyway.
