Supporters are really hurting Obama?

Yep you heard me right. Alot of Obama's supporters are actually hurting instead of helping him.I saw this one coming when he got elected...Why?
Well lets look at school teachers. We have all by now seen the videos of several schools that have had the children singing songs "praising" Obama. These are teachers over zealous in their jobs to say the least. They support him so much they are willing to teach inappropriate things to small children. Which has given the republican party and a lot of parents concern and something to talk about. Not to mention scaring a lot of people and change how they feel about Obama. These kind of actions cause more fear in people than the scare tatics the republican party trys. These are the same teachers that would not even put a picture of Bush up in their class rooms because it was inappropriate but yet find it ok to sing songs of praise about Obama.
Another is all the hype his supporters gave him when he was elected. You would have thought the man could walk on water with all the things they were saying he was going to do. Trust me I read it by people posting stuff right here on mylot. To say he got set up for failure was an understatement. And not by Bush...NOt by the republican party...but by his own supporters and party.
Now he has won a Noble Peace Prize he has not earned. He knows it, we know it. Everyone knows he has not earned it. More hype with nothing to back it up.
Winning the award has brought more of a spotlight on his non accomplishments. Usually when someone wins it the news talks about how much the person did to deserve it...now all they are talking about his how much he has NOT done to deserve it and what he is going to have to do to earn it. Using the excuse " it is to encourage him to do great things". Drawing more attention to the fact that Obama has not lived up to his promises or his suppoorters hype.
So while they hype around Obama is HUGE, which means the world's exspectations of Obama are huge...... Obama himself has proven just be a man like any other man. Human. Not a super hero. Not capable of super human feats. He can't even make peace between the different factions within the democratic party...much less the world.
Even Saturday Night is making fun of him and his lack of accomplishments as president. The honeymoon is definately over. You really can't blame the republican party for it. There are more than enough Democrats in the congress to pass whatever Obama wants without republican support. But the democrats can't seem to agree on anything long enough to vote. That or the democrats in congress have not supported the same things Obama has. So if you are looking for why things are not done....look at them. They are not all on the same page. They don't support Obama and his policies....they support their own agendas. Obama is not able to overcome it. Pelosi and Reid are weidling more power in Washington right now than Obama is. He said no ear marks....Pelosi called his bluff...put them in the budget...he signed it instaed of vetoing it, like he threatened. That is not the first fight he has had with Pelosi and I am sure it will not be the last....but so far he has lost everytime he gone up against her and Reid.
So what do you think.....are all these rabid supporters that do inappropriate things with his name really hurting Obama rather than helping him and his public imagine? Did his own party and his own people set him up for failure? Will winning the Noble Peace Prize actually hurt Obama more than help him?

...some friends make the worst enemies?... If so, that's true in more ways than one..

Part of the problem was pointed out during the election. It seems that any one could interpert President Obama's message to mean anything they want. Now they want what they thought he was promising them. Now when he does not come through with his promises they are upset.

Ya you really could read alot of things into his messages. Not real big on specifics and could be interrupted a lot of ways.
Well he made the bed...now he gets to lay in it.

I can tell you put a lot of thought into this post so I've been putting quite a bit of thought into my response. I must respectfully disagree with you when you say, "These kind of actions cause more fear in people than the scare tatics the republican party tries," regarding a handful of classrooms of very small children singing silly jingles about the President. I don't see any comparison between a song that goes "Obama is good" or whatever and people in high positions within the Republican party warning that the Democrats want to "pull the plug on Grandma" or people carrying pictures of President Obama as Hitler as if he has plans to kill millions of innocent people like Hitler did. I know some say that's not what they mean with those comparisons but, be honest, what do most people think of when they think of Hitler? Certainly NOT healthcare!
Did he "earn" the Nobel Peace Prize? I'm not sure what the criteria is, to be honest. There have been some who have won the award through the years that I wouldn't have thought were deserving and there were others I've agreed with. Personally, I'd have liked to see Bill Clinton get it. Rachel Maddow did a segment on her show the other night of things President Obama has said and done that show he's working toward world peace; the conservatives disagree with his ideas, obviously, but I don't really think the Nobel committee is very conservative to begin with.
I really don't think anyone expects him to be a "super hero", which is what it would take to "fix" all that's wrong with this country in nine months. The Democratic party has always been hard to "control" since there ARE different factions. The GOP has gotten to the point where they're all in lockstep with each other, at least those on the national level. They're very well-organized, I'll sure give them that! They pick a catch-phrase and they all recite it, over and over.
"Saturday Night Live" makes fun of EVERYONE! I agree there are enough Democrats to get things passed without wasting time trying to please the GOP when they've made it clear they're not going to compromise on anything, they still think they have control like they did during most of the Bush years. It must look to some outsiders as if Olympia Snowe had been elected President because she's the one they're trying to please in the Senate. Anyway, all of the Democrats have never agreed on everything.
What I think is there will continue to be those who are out to "get" the President no matter what he does. There will also continue to be those who do support him no matter what. Hopefully, neither of these groups will take over the majority!

I hope you are right. I hope neither group gets control. Some love him with a scarey type of devotion (those were the ones this post was about). Some hate him no matter what. Both are very loud groups and get lots of attention.
Obama is not asking teachers to write these songs and teach them to the kids. They are taking it upon themselves to do it. Which causes contravsery and ticks off and scares people. I know as a mom it scares the you know what out of me. No matter who the president is. Personal opinions should not be taught by the teacher. Not exactly a credit to him. Just causing more problems.
As for the hilter reference....most are talking about the culture of his rule. Especially with the hilter youth, the brown shirts and his propaganda maching within his own country....not so much about the holocust. But you are right. Most poeple don't know a lot about what Hilter did besides kill millions of people. They don't realize what he did with the "regular" citizens he did not kill off. I am a big time history buff so I know about a lot of it.

approval ratings go up and down depending on who is doing the polls.
