Migrants - Can you really belong?

Hi. I may have a chance of migrating to Canada (I am of Asian origin). But I often see people who look out of place and literally "torn between two cultures". I mean, their kids grow up fine, but the first generation seems to be lost. And then there are the prejudices... And then, I see other people, blended in perfectly and extremely happy with their new found lives... I am quite confused and can't make up my mind. I always have a gnawing feeling in the back of my mind that I would probably never belong here.. Any feedback and experiences will be most helpful.
