What philosophy guides your life?

what words do you live by, to make life worthwhile? I know it sounds cliche, but mine is truly carpe diem- seize the day. I sincerely believe in living for the moment, because there might not be another day. Sounds kind of pessimistic, but also rather idealistic. Why worry so much about the future when the present is staring at you right in the face?
