What should you do if your students do not keep attention to your teaching

As a new English teacher who teach senior high school students in a village. It is need more power / energy and patient to teach them. Whereas, they will face national examination. However, they do not English subject... so they have low ability of English. Many methods I have been do for them. I ever use song and picture to teach them. but they do not understand what they should do.. they are passive learners. I'm so dizzy about them. Could you give me suggestion?
