I'm speaking of the chickens next door belonging to my nasty neighbour.
Yes, mother hen made and appearance last Saturday with about 8 little bundles of fluff following her every move. She seems to need to stretch her legs a lot...that's probably from sitting for days on end on her eggs. I can't quite count them because they run so fast and are just a big fluffy blur.
So that's 2 nights they have survived my murderous cat...who is currently sleeping atop the pillow on the bed in the spare room.

I know I was expecting some kind of reason why mylot was down for so long. I guess they figure that we all know what happen. I glad that at least I can post to some. You have a great day and let me know how those chicks are doing..

hi mstickle glad the baby fluffs have arrived now, they
are always so cute until they get to be old hens he he.
I would be think though that mama hen would give your cat
a good fight for his or her life if he did annoy the
little balls of fluff.

One of my hens recently hatched out a brood of 5. I was happy that she even hatched that many.
Dont worry mother hen will take care of the little ones as best she can, but help her by keeping the cat far far away!
