Why do we have to attend college? People accolade collage degree as the only path to success. Nowadays unemployment is rampant. Many have studied but few were hired. Do we really have to attend college for such reason? What is the worth of spending years of studying when you'll end up in your corner with no work.Is it really the recipe for success?

I know it is a paradox, you study but still you dont get jobs.I feel that a person should try his level best to excel in any job he takes up including studies and I am sure he/she would be rewarded suitably.A bright student can always look forward to a great future since he would have the pick of jobs- Education never goes waste..

I think that each person has their own definition of success. With that being said, for most of us, college is important. Yes, unemployment is at a horrible rate right now. And there are too many of us trying to get hired into the same position. That is why college is important. It is too competitive. Everyone has a degree. Those are the people that stand out on the applications. The people that never went to college, or even worse, didn't graduate high school are pretty much out of luck. Employers want the best of the best. They mostly want to hire people that have proven themselves academically.
