Isnt it so frustrating when you are looking for a job and you find the perfect job for you, then there is ONE box that you cant tick so you cant apply. Like it will say "Must have previous experience" or its up the other end of the country and you cant move. Or the hours arnt right, or something! Theres always one thing that seems to be wrong with every job i find, and it sucks! Does anyone else find this?

It's really a requirement in some jobs but there also are some jobs which are open to fresh graduates and those without experience. Maybe you should try searching for those kinds of jobs if you really are interested in finding one.

Luckily I have been lucky with job. From the very moment I started college, I was already working part time to sustain my education. When I graduated, I job was already waiting for me. Now, I am starting out on my own. I opened up a center for training and I am my own boss. So I decide when to work and when not to. I do hope that you will find what you are looking for. All it takes is patience...

I can certainly relate to what you are talking about. I know many places that won't higher anyone who has a college degree. Instead, such places hire people who don't have any knowledge as to what they are supposed to be doing, in that they hire people who can't even operate a cash register, and have poor public relation skills. Such people that are hired don't even make the customers feel welcomed or they don't even tell the customers to have a nice day. These kinds of people are also lazy, and don't keep the places of businesses clean, or they have management who don't have any knowledge or training or basic computer skills. There is simply no logic in a business or company hiring people who don't have the proper training or such. These are the same businesses and companies who turn down people who are college graduates. At least this has been my experience when applying for a job. Or if I do get an interview with such businesses or companies, at the end of the interview I'm told that I am over qualified and I'm not what they are looking for.

I have encountered this dilemma just these past few months. And it was really frustrating, especially when I'm still a fresh graduate. And volunteering in hospitals here nowadays, you need money to pay the hospital for volunteering (yeah, i know right??). And it's not just a petty amount! Having no luck with hospitals as of the moment, I decided to try looking for a tutorial job. Luckily, I found one and got hired right away. I was just recently hired this 2nd of October, and so far, I am liking this job. :) Goodluck with your job hunting! Have patience, I know how it feels. And pray, it really helps ;)

I agree completely. When you a see a "so many years requirement" you're kind of just like, "well how am i supposed to get experience if i never get a chance?!" Well besides going back to school and gaining the experience for that job. I'm in the middle of trying to find a good job, and it's way harder than it used to be, that's for sure!

Same here.In my options,if the job is perfece for you, you'd better to try to apply it. Maybe the problems you said are not problems then. hehe

i agree with you, i'm trying to get my partner to find a job. if it's not one problem with it it's another, or that just don't phone back, take ages in thinking about doing something. he's already got the thing going i'm trying to get rid of him (nothing new there, but life is not going to move on unless he gets of his butt and do something about it) i'm quite happy for him to move away as well, cause i'm staying put where i work. then i've also found some sites are useless on keeping information updated, like they still have jobs there that was months out of date and it brings up a message of some description saying the job was over 30 days old. so i stick to one web site, that i can find my way round.

I have been looking for another job for awhile but not as adamantly as I plan to start to. I am waiting for one company to call me back on sitting with my husband's great grandmother but I'm not sure that we will hear back about that for awhile even, so I am going to apply at places. My problem is not so much the not being able to fill out certain parts as that my past employment has been tainted with quitting or getting fired, though I did put in a two weeks notice at one place, and another closed down so I wasn't fired. Good Luck To You On Finding a Job! Just keep looking, eventually you'll find something. That's going to be my motto!

I can certainly sympathize with your frustration. I have been looking for work for almost 7 months now. It has come to a point where most jobs online aren't even real jobs. Scammers have taken over Craigslist and even CareerBuilder. It gets very frustrating to send out so many resumes and then get an email back that asked for your credit report. What jobs asks for that? Where I live the big 'experience' that disqualifies you from the job is being bilingual. I've thought about going back to school to learn a new career but you are right, most jobs you have to already have experience so I ask myself is it worth the money? I find I'm either too qualified or don't have the experience although I know I could do the job. It will get easier. I tell myself that everyday. Good luck in your job search.
