Why face book is so popular?

Yes, it is a social networking site, but there are large numbers of people there. This makes it more likely that you will find friends that you have not seen or heard from in a long time there. Also there are a lot of very fun games on the site. It can be quite adictive, lol. Does orkut have games as well? I have not seen that one, I will have to check it out. I tend to spend A LOT of time on facebook lately!

Because it has so many facility that other social network didnt have. It has a user friendly interface. It has a strong support from a 3rd party company like zynga, playfish, etc that make apps for them ( game like mafia wars, farm ville, etc ). It has wall system, stat, group, causes, discusion, and chat.

I think because So many people are there the chances that some of you old school friends or old neighbors will be there is high. Also all of the games and apps. make it very alluring, there is always something you could be doing. It is very entertaining even if you aren't talking to anybody. I do get to talk to many of my friends and NEW friends that I have made. much more frequently now than I would otherwise. this is because I work 3rd shift and am up all night. I sleep during the day when everyone else is up and I would never get to keep in touch with people- I love that now I can send them thing like videos and stuff that I find funny and we can enjoy them together. :)

I know that Facebook has been very popular for quite a while now. Maybe because the time gives it opportunity to be very popular. If we remember back to the year of 2005, another similar website called Friendster was also booming and a lot of people had one account with it. But now Friendster is barely even heard, and people will ask about your facebook account at the very first sight. But I must admit that Facebook has a lot of creative programs, such as games, and so on.

More ever there are many free of charge application there. People likes to play with the games, ecards, quiz and not to say upload their photos at Facebook. As a social networking website, it is becoming more and more popular indeed. From where I stand, the reason that its popularity is because Facebook meet the best chance to develop and own more and more users. There, you can find your old friends, meet new friends and classmates, get the latest action of all your friends; There, you can always keep in touch with them. Through Facebook, you can have a good relationship with others. I joined Facebook just because all my classmates have been members of it, which perhaps is the reason why Orkut never becomes popular like Facebook.

I think it's those little games people can play. And that facebook is more private that myspace.
