Do you brush the teeth of your dog regularly?

I have a dog whose name is Lemon. It seems that he doesn't like the dog food for him. So we always feed him our own food, including pork, beef and shrimp. We know that the food which remain in teeth would become the seedbed for bacteria. We usually brush his teeth once a week. Everytime we brush his teeth, he is always reluctant to cooperate with us, so it's really a difficult task. How about you? Do you brush the teeth of your dog regularly? If you do, do you have some good way to finish this task?

We are suppose to brush our dog's teeth but we don't. The vet explained to use our finger to keep his teeth clean. Can't see where that would help though. Don't know if doggy brushes are sold. For a deep cleaning, the vet suggests bringing the dog into his office, they will put him to sleep and clean his teeth. Since our dog is much older, we chose not to do this. The expense is tremendous too. We have always had dogs and never brushed their teeth. We always made sure to feed them good dog food that was hard so it could remove some of the tartar.

But the problem is that my dog doesn't like the hard dog food we offer him. I know the vet could clean the teeth of dog thoroughly, but just as you said, the expense is very high, so I'd rather brush his teeth at home.

Does your dog like bones? Some of them are made to help remove tartar on the teeth.

Dogs don't need their teeth brushed. Your vet just wants the money. Anyways, just use a human toothbrush but don't grab your family members brush. LOOL and put it back

I brush the teeth of my dog by myself. Everytime I do it, I use an old toothbrush which we no longer use.

Nope, I never brush the teeth of my dog before. I didn't even know we have to do so. I am having a yellow Labrador, and we only let her eat the dog food and treats, but not other food. As the skin of Labradors is quite sensitive, so the vet advised us not to give her any kinds of food, except certain dog food. We do buy her some rawhide dog chews, it's said to make the dog's teeth clean. So, I suppose this will help cleaning her teeth, hence I never thought of brushing her teeth by myself.

I know dog food is good to the health of dog. And I was also told that the dog should not be fed our own food. But if I don't mix dog food with other food, my dog will not eat even a little. So it seems that brushing his teeth is an inevitable task for me.

Oh, you brush the teeth of your dog so frequently. To me it's quite impossible for it's a really fatiguesome task. Once a week is my upper limit.

Nope, I don't regularly brush my dogs teeth but I do give them a product that's supposed to keep their teeth clean. Anytime we brush their teeth, we place the product (Remover) on the toothbrush and then proceed with the task. They like Remover, therefore brushing their teeth isn't too hard.

I've heard of such product but never tried it before. I don't know whether it could clean the teeth of dog thoroughly. Maybe I should try it.
