I would love to stay at Wynn. It's modern, up-scale and service is top-notched.

When I was in Vegas, we stayed at the Stratosphere hotel. It's right at one end of the strip. Actually it at the beginning of the strip I'm told. I don't know how you can tell the beginning from the end because it would depend on which way you are coming from right? LOL
Anyway, it's that odd, round, pointy, space needle looking hotel that you probably see in every Vegas picture or postcard. It was reasonable, it had a casino, it was across the street from a great breakfast place at the time. Of course that was about 4 years ago now. We had a good time there and the roller coaster on top was funny. But there was at the time a "clothing optional" pool there. So if you are not into that, don't end up on that balcony. They have a regular pool there too.

There are many hotels in Vegas to suit different people's taste and budget. I just came back from Vegas a week ago, the first night we were going to be there late, so we booked at Rivera for $27 a night since we were just going to be there to sleep, but we moved to Planet Hollywood the next couple of nights to be closer to the action, plus some friend had recommended it. We request the fountain view room for a little extra and it was well worth it, we get a great view of the Bellagio fountain without paying the outrageous rate for the same view at the Bellagio.
Uploaded a picture of the view from the room, check it out.
Other favorites are the Venetian on the high end, you get a huge room so if you have a family of four, you won't trip over each other every time you turn around. Mote Carlo and Treasure Island offer good value for a decent place to stay. Next place to try is the Wynn.
