Do you care about the World Series?

Are you one of those people that stop caring about baseball after your team is eliminated? I'm that type of person to an extent. I watched a few games this year. I probably would watch more if the teams were different. It seems like the Angels, Yankees, cardinals, Boston are always in the playoffs.

Well since I'm a Phillies fan.... yes I care about the playoffs!
Although yeah if the Phillies aren't in and the Red Sox aren't in... really I don't care.

I love baseball but I just rarely watch games that don't involve my favorite team. I probably would watch more games if weren't for all the steroid abuse and if the athletes were actually good people.

If the Indians aren't in the playoffs, I'm not watching. I just have no desire to watch it. What I'd like to see is the Indians actually winning it all. Yeah, predicting who gets into the baseball playoffs seem to be a bit predictable or so it seems considering. That's just how I am.

How long has it been since the Indians have won it all? They were close a couple of year back.

The last time was 1948 and the closest would be 1997 but then Jose Mesa had to screw everything up. The 2007 season is debatable on whether they would have beaten the Rockies that year. I'd like to think they could have had a couple guys not blown it when it counted the most. Cleveland in general hasn't had a major title since 1964 with the Browns but that's another story.

Well, my favorite Teams are out of the playoffs so I doubt I will really watch the World Series this yr. My favorite teams are either the Mariners, Chicago Cubs, and Boston Red Sox. I am totally tired of seeing the Yankees in the playoffs all of the time. I hope they will not be in the World Series for sure.

I don't really care about the World Series. it's just water cooler talk. I don't mind watching the highlights. I just don't have time to watch the whole game anymore.

Hi BlueGoblin, I do understand what you mean about not wanting to watch the World Series if your team is not in it but I am happy to say that last year I watched it because the Phillies won!!! and this year I certainly hope to watch it. I watched Game 4 against the Rockies and I thought my heart was going to burst. It was an intense 8th and 9th inning and the Phillies pulled it out to win. I would love to be a Phillies fan to say that the Philadelphia Phillies are world champs back to back.

I pretty much only care if the Yankees are in it (fortunately, they usually are, at least in playoffs!). If they aren't I usually don't watch the games, although I do follow it on the news or online, but just out of curiosity.
I did root for the Phillies last year, and was happy that they won (I worked in Philly at the time, so it was hard NOT to get caught up in the excitement). Usually I just root for the Yankees and against the Red Sox, though :-)

I usually don't watch baseball but two years ago we went to visit my husbands mother and we were able to go to a Milwaukee brewers game and I absolutely loved it, since then I have been following their games with my husband. They are not in this year but we will still probably end up watching the series. I have to agree that it seems like the same teams are in every year and to be honest I can't stand the Yankees...especially Derek Jeter. Him and Manny Ramirez nag the crap out of me...I am so tired of hearing their names they need to step off their high horses and I am so tired of all the rich teams winning...I always root for the under dog and will this year too.

I love watching World Series in Lawn Tennis because many players try their luck to be the best among the rest..
