Need any advice for funding the study.

Hi all, I have a friend, and he is studying in the United Kingdom at this moment. He doesn't come from UK, and he is not even European, and that means that he has to pay the tuition fees which likely to be twice more expensive than the local students have to pay. He tried very hard to find a scholarship but it seems like it didn't go very well. He also considered getting some loan, but for international students it seems impossible. Anybody who has experienced the same thing, or not, please give me suggestion or advice and I will pass it through him. Many thanks.

its really dare that one of your friend comes to United Kingdom for study purpose. its seems he/she come from Bangladesh or India. i don't understood why people like this way. Bangladeshi and Indian people are this type stupid. goes European country with out any financial solvency. actually study is not their main aim or subject, they come Uk,Australia or another developed country only to earn money and make their future bright.but as a educated person, why they act like a greatest fool ? its really strange. they know, they need money for continue study but they think they can able to earn lot and can meet needs and requirement over there. but reality is different from their dream. its very difficult and hard to earn money with a student visa. Anyway the better suggestion for you, you may ask your friend to get money from parents or close relatives. even he may apply for study loan at his local bank. as i know many of local bank are willing to provide study loan facility and its available too. just need submit a study loan proposal to loan bank with its (bank's) required document via his parents. i hope bank may approve a study loan within short time, if the student comes from a loyal and good family.

Well, I think it's all about choice. And quite frankly, I just want to respect their choices. =) He is considering to get a loan from some certain bank, but it seems like the bank itself doesn't help that much. And also, the interest of the loan still be part of consideration.

It is noteasy to go straight to the point because you have not given sufficient details about him, for example like the country he is from. I lived in the UK for 8 years, and now have children at various stages of schooling, so I shall try my best in pointing towards a solution. Working part time is out of the question, unless he wants to do it illegally. My cousin was in the UK too, and she earned extra money through writing articles about life as a student abroad, and sent the articles to a newspaper back home. In the late '90s a scholarship student earned more online than the monthly amount he received from his scholarship. Early this year several of my son's friends were earning extra money from online activities. I do not know his country, but private students from Malaysia can approach certain bodies about a scholarship or stufy loan. In the past there were students who obtained a study place overseas, registered with the institution, and made an application. Of course there are certain requirements. As of now the government has made it easier to non-Malays to apply and get a scholarship. Has he tried something similar? In Islam students can ask for some financial help. One eight of the tithe collected is set aside for those who want to pursue beneficial or useful knowledge. The amount may not be much or sufficient, but every single penny helps. I know, because three of my children had benefited from this ruling. The application can be made yearly. Maybe his religion has the same provisions. It is hoped that the above story and info can give an idea of the steps of action that he should do.

Yes, you are right. Working part time is not helping that much. And he doesn't think about doing it illegally. He already tried to ask the government of the country he comes from, and I think they are not helping at all.
