The tabby female, who we called Thing One or Two. Technically her name is either Emily or Scoot. But she got spayed today. We have the other 2 to fix before we can catch them again and they get to go out to the horse farm.
AND, when they go, we'll be BACK to ONLY 25... like that's not too many anyway!
So, that's my good news for Monday - what's yours?

My good news is that it is Monday, the day is over, I made some of the phone calls I needed to make. I am going to go to bed. I admire you for dealing with the ferals and for getting the females spayed, and I am sure you also get the males neutered. I am glad they have a horse farm to go to.MyLot money probably does not go really far for all the kitty surgeries, though, does it?

no, I'm going to cash out my paypal and that'll only be $90, but my vets are very understanding - after all, we're still playing on their MOM, who is already out at the horse farm killing mice...
in fact, the lady who took her out there said that this last weekend was the first time she's seen a mouse since The Momma went out there, and she probably just hasn't caught that one yet.
She runs when people are around, but she stays because they feed her and the hunting is good.

I'm so glad you're doing that, bless your heart! If more people would do this we would have less kitty misery, hunger and suffering.
I don't really have good news except I'm healthy and my sons and family are safe and healthy. That's a wonderful gift in my life. But my life is rather boring, same thing day after day, pretty much.

I am glad you are getting your cats sorted,as there are alot of people or places where there are lots of cats always having more and more kittens. One place used to be over run by cats as that used to be where people were moving back to their country or moving and decided that dumping them would be better than having them put down.I was just one of many people that went and got two cats when i heard.I now have six cats as i did have other cats before hand.

I live in town, and I have fixed a number of strays over the years, but up till now, I've just taken the ferals in, but I just can't any more, 3 adults in the house now are more than enough, I don't need 6, and these 3 kittens make the other 3 seem almost friendly - well, Gizmo can be friendly, he'll come in to my room for pets at night sometimes...

Technically, 7 of them are looking for homes, actually, 5 are seriously looking for homes, the other 2 are older black gals who we would want to go together and one has some grooming issues and other problems from being in a cage too long as a kitten - right now she looks terrible, but she's terribly sweet.

That si good to here. I hope to get my puppy spayed when he getsa little bit older. The vet recommends it but we had never done it with our other dogs because they awere always kept indoors or in a fenced in back yard. I think it will be alot better if we do it though.

hi ElicBxn that is really good news what you are doing
'to help feral cats. wish others would think like that'
and do likewise. as for me it is the same old same old,
nothing bad really just same routine here but I am happy,'have
a roof over my head, a comfy bed, and am well fed, and
best of all I have my computer and my monitor going
full tilt so yes I am a happy camper.

Thanks Hatley, yeah, I wish others would do it too, I'm sick of finding ANOTHER unfixed stray on my door step!
I know you are happy with the simple things, there are too many complex things that get messed up, and sometimes even the simple ones get it too, so I'm glad you are healthy, have a place to live and are HERE on the lot - I missed it working this weekend, I hope it doesn't mess up again any time soon!

They know a soft touch when they see one. people use to do my grandmother the same way only they didn't ask her. people would just drop them off at her house & she took everyone of them & fed them but she did keep them outside except one she had in the house.

first off, thank you for taking care of spaying/neutering the feral cats around the horse farm. it takes a concerned and considerate person to help reduce the over population of stray animals. i will say 25 cats are a lot -- i hold you in high esteem. thanks again.

actually, these kittens are from around my house, we are taking them to the barn because while I live on a fairly quiet street, I've seen too many cats hit around here - but they can't go out until they are fixed because there are too many cats as it is
the horse barn people wanted some mousers, and when they first asked, we didn't have any, but now we do and they still want them
