My puppy Bella!

I just bought a shar pei about two month ago, and I have to say that she is the best dog I have ever owned. I have owned a rottweiler and a pitbull, and I've had a couple of mixed breed dogs, but I have to say the Bella, my shar pei baby, takes the cake. She was only three months old when I bought her. She was already crate trained, almost house trained, and so easy to teach commands. She is now five months old, and spoiled to death. She still sleeps in her crate (mostly because she prefers it that way) but during the day she is allowed access to the couch, where she loves to stretch out and take a nap. She never uses the bathroom in the house, she listens incredibly well, and she is just the best puppy ever. She know who her owners are and she is very loyal. I'm wondering if loyalty and intelligence are traits that are common to all shar pei?
