Do you just need a brake sometime ?

I am not only referring to mylot, but to other things in life as well. In school we have the holidays, and at work we have the vacations but is that enough ? I was away from mylot for quite sometime now after my last payment, and i am slowly trying to get back on track with all my friends and their topics. I was in need of a brake after finishing college this year, so i was away from my city either in another country - England, or just in another city, spending my holiday as best as i could. How about you, do you need a brake from time to time ? Did you recently had a vacation / holiday ?

Oh! You graduated! Congratulations!! So you've been almost everywhere these past few months huh? Yeah all of us need a break sometime. I remember a time during this school year that I was almost at my breaking point. Of course I dont let anyone see it but I was panicking already. Good thing that something happened that made the President of the University declare a 3 day vacation for the students and the teachers. That was sweet and it couldnt have been at a better time. I was able to take a few days off of school work that I did nothing those three days. Sure, I might not have accomplished tasks during that short vacation but the rest did refresh and rejuvenate me. I was able to finish all that I needed to do when we got back. So that short vacation did me wonders.^_^ I plan to do what you did. I mean have some months off for an ultimate vacation to places and just enjoy the free time before I go back to reality, find a job or manage a business. I feel like that few months of vacation would be the only one that Id enjoy to the fullest cause once I start working/am in business Im going to be dedicated to my work. That's just me anyways.

Well, I think we all need a break and vacation from things, as it is very good to get away. Especially when you are taking time doing things that you enjoy and spending time away it is Fun for sure. Glad to see that you have chosen to come back in here in myLot and catch up with us as you can as well. The last time my husband and I got away was the weekend before my birthday. We went to one of the amusement parks about 6 hrs. from us and just spend the weekend there and in a Hotel enjoying the time away and enjoying some of the rides and such as well. It always helps break up the Stressors from things going on in life for sure, even though it is always nice to get back home as well.

Most definitely! But it's always far easier in theory than it is in practice unfortunately. My Wife and I went away for a few days a couple of months ago and that was the first holiday I've had in around 5 years! We all should make the effort to have a break from constants in life though and I really do need to try and be more disciplined abut having an occasional time-out in the future. Even mini-breaks can help break the monotony and keep us energised! I've had a long break from mylot lately too which has been an interesting situation for me! Today is the most active I've been for ages and I'm making the most of it as I'm not sure when I'll get the next chance to be here. It's great to see you back too mate!

Yes I do need a break sometimes that is why I just spend 3 or 4 hours on my computer at a time. I just need to get up and do something else for awhile even just sit and watch something on TV is good. I know I need to take a vacation haven't had one in about 3 years now.

I have a break evryday, lol. Yeah, every two working hours, I go out to have a cup of tea, it's a break for me. After quitting my office, I go down the street to shop or go home to take a rest, then having meal and watching tv or surfing on the internet, it's also a break. During the weekends, I drive farther to the countryside or go hiking or go swimming, it's another break. During the holiday, I travel abroad, but not too long, because I think that I have enough break in the year.

I think that weekends come at the perfect time to give myself a break. Sometimes the week just drags on and on and by Friday, I'm definitely ready for not having to go into work. It's just nice not having to get up and deal with all the craziness that is the work week. Secondly, I think vacations also are great. I think that we as people need to take breaks. We need those days off because if we didn't take time off I know we'd be very stressed, crazy people.

Hi there, good to "see" you again! Oh yes, I certainly need a break! When I got up this morning after a restless night, all I had to look forward to was writing articles, a new and restrictive diet and a chilly house. I told my dog Gus as we went down the stairs that we really need to get away and do something that's fun! But that's not likely to happen as things are very bad financially. Still, one of my assignments was a travel article and I almost felt as if I'd been on vacation when I was done!

Hi elitess, yes we all need a break now and again just to recharge our batteries, so to speak and to get away from the usual scene, go someplace else that is defferent and chill out, that is what i done few months back and came back refreshed, but I did miss all on online friends, I am quite happy just being on my computer and hate going away from it. It was nice though to get away from all the washing, cooking and cleaning, that I did NOT! missed. Tamara

sometimes taking a break is good for us. I have my daughter 24-7 just about it and these last few days she has been getting on my nerves quite a bit. I don't know who her dad is and until i can remember his last name I don't think it would ever be a day where she doesn't get on my nerves. If I take a break it's usually with her if i go on vacation, we take her. If i go out to one of my friends house i usually take her with me. Only because i dont have any family that would take time out to baby sit for me to have a night out. so yeah i completely understand. I don't like taking a break from the internet because that is where I get my only source fo money right now. So i'm on here as much as I can be.

Yes definitely. I really love to have a break. Perhaps a vacation to any country would do.

Hi elitess, I am like you in the needing a break thing. I near constantly need to have a break from anything I do, if I do it for long enough. In the past I never used to have breaks very often because I never understood the need for them, but after a run in with disaster at university caused by forcing myself to do more than I should, I came to understand the need to recharge after activities, and so now I do just that, especially with mylot. I tend to find that if I come on here and have a very active day, then the next day I tend to be away from the site relaxing to come back again. Anything social is generally like that for me, I need time alone to gather my thoughts again since my default state of existence is by myself, so anything more than that throws me off balance . On the note of a holiday, 10 days ago I lived alone for the very first time which was amazing. I really needed it as well because of stress at home. Coming back was hell though, like it used to be with school holidays. One taste of freedom and getting back into this life is utter hell. I am all settled again now so it is all good but dang that first day was vile ~ Cringes at the memory lol ~ Luckily there is no such backlash from being away from mylot, just an increased vigour usually lol All the best and welcome back Dranz PS: I hope this wasn't too off topic, I have issues with regulating my thoughts at times ~ Glares at them ~ Oh well!

Yes, there are times, when I do just need a break. There are times, when I just feel like I need to something other than work, that I need to recharge my battery a bit. I'm pretty sure that everyone feels this way from time to time, to say the very least. I think that it's only natural to want to have a break occasionally.
