well it actually mean my star beside my name.. I could not see any star beside my name as I have seen with the other members. I heared that it would add up something to your earnings? was that true? So if it is how could I have my own star? what will I do to start one?

your star will only show when you reach 100 responses to others' discussions. responding to your own discussion will not add into new responses. don't worry about the star. just keep posting quality response & you will see a blue star when you reach 100 responses. all the best & happy mylotting!

Your number increases when you:
- start a new discussiion and it receives 2 responses (or 1 response + 1 comment)
- you respond for the first time on a discussion started by others
- you comment on a response on a discussion started by others.
Nothing else causes your number to increase BUT ALL your activity is earning for you whether it increases or not.
The value of your star is decided depending on how many plusses your posts receive from other users. The more plusses the higher value of the star and the higher it is the more your earnings will be.

at some time and we are not limited to rate of each user, but now we are in a day only 11 times no more. I myself have forgotten the first time how, rapidly falling and rising rapidly. above 7 is a good beginning, but it must be maintained or enhanced do not fall.

As i put the mouse on my star it says that I have 84/100 points. Does it mean that sometimes this rating also falls down? How? What are the possible reasons for the rating to fall down? Wow that really surprises me a lot. So that means you really have to mentain the good reputation you already have in order not to fall or make it much more higher.

So does it mean that if you have a star already and your star shows a higher number that means you are valued that high by myLot? Wow that would be nice. Now I already have my own star.

oh! so i still have to reach 100 responses. so after that my 100 responses I would have my first star numbered as 1? does that mean also that I should make another hundred of posting to go to number 2?that is a lot of work huh!

mylot has a DRS system to rank the quality of your posts, so when you post number reach 100, the system will give your reputation according to mylot DRS system, your reputation has a range from 1~10, so if you have a excellent work in mylot, maybe you will get rank star 10 for a very good start...happy mylotting.

yes I already have my star now because I reached 100... But I don't get it. I have number 8 on my star while I only have 101 responses. You are also marked 8 on your star while you already have 213 responses. How was our stars being numbered?

Hello jnd.
Welcome to mylot. I remember the first time i set eyes on this site. I was also looking for my star and how to get one. Luckily some old members has been very helpful to me. They gave me pointers and the things need to know with this site.
To get yourself a star, you need to first post at least a hundred of responses. That's right! A hundred. After achieving this number of post you will definitely see a star beside your username. It reflects our reputation to te site. ten is the highest while the lowest is one. Hope this message helps you.

Oh... So 10 is already the highest? I thought their is still more than 10... So what does this reputation mean for the members? What is the advantage of having a higher reputation number on your star?
