Hi fellow mylotters! Since I gave birth last year, I keep on gaining weight until such time I have to give up those clothing I have before pregnancy. It is such disheartening to just look at them laying on the closet untouched because the owner is now a plus size. I am thinking of having a garage sale for those just to make some penny out of it. But a part of me is still hoping to wear those dresses some other day. I know it's quite impossible now to bring back my old shape but I am still hopeful. Thus, my garage sale idea is still hanging until now.
What do you think mylotters? Will I proceed to let go of those or still hold it back even for a while?

Okay then, I'll take your advise. Keeping some old clothes can serve as an inspiration to get back to my old shape again :)

I know how you feel. After I had my son. I went real skinny to the point they put me on something to help me gain. I was in clothes sizes smaller then now. THe past three years though i have gained alot of it back and some. Its depressing to put on a shirt that now shows my tummy if i lift my arm even slightly. So thats why i just buy used clothes. That way if i out grow something i just pass it along and go back and buy more used clothes. Its not a comfortable idea but most thrift stores have nice things. And i get lucky to buy stuff with tags still on them.

Your idea of buying used clothes is practical. Maybe I can try to practice that. It is such a waste if you see your beloved clothes just hanging in there and not in use. Maybe when I go back to Philippines at the end of this months, I will bring back those old clothes and will pass through to my relatives. Thank you for the time of responding to my discussion :)

Don't be so hard on yourself. I don't know many women who've been able to fit back into their pre-pregnancy clothing. If you work really hard with diet and exercise you may be able to do it, but how long might that take? The clothing may be going out of style soon anyway so this is what I would do. Choose one or two favorite outfits as a reminder of your goal to fit back into them and sell the rest at a garage sale or try ebay. Or you could swap with friends who might need that size of clothing or donate to charity.

Yeah! Maybe you are right. I try to consider what you have suggested and see what happens. Thank you for a very sound advise.
