Have you been in the right place at the right time with your camera?

How many times have you seen something and thought 'I wish I had a camera with me'? This has happened to me so many times! I decided to try to take my camera out and about with me whenever I could, and I got lucky with this picture. I'd never seen a bumblebee's tongue before.

There is one shot i keep trying to get. See our cat pee's in the toilet, but im the only one who ever witnesses it. So i keep my camera right next to my door which is across from the bathroom. And this morning i was soo close to getting the shot but couldn't get ready fast enough. I know it sounds weird but i just want to get it on camera to share with everyone so they know im not lying. LOL!!!

That is exactly the kind of thing I mean! I hope this dopesn't happen to you, but I have times when I've had the camera ready to capture something I've been waiting for and then the batteries run out. Good luck!

That happened to me before. I will be ready to take picture and batteries will just give out. As soon as you hit the shutter camera just shuts off instead. Sucks.

Perhaps you should check your batteries before your cat decides to take a pee!

Hi katsalot, you have shot a nice piece of photo I haven’t seen a bumblebee’s tongue before! Wow, It’s so clearly shown in the wonderful piece of photo attaching here. I like it and thanks a lot for sharing pal. I like carrying around my camera whenever I go out. I don’t want to miss any chance to take photo of unique and attractive stuffs, or precious scene which I might come across at any time.
I wonder whether you use the DSLR digital camera or just an ordinary camera. How could you do it so well. I like shooting photo as well. but I don’t have much sense what type of camera we actually should use when capturing tiny creature from distance. Is it nice to have camera with bigger optical zoom so that we won’t frighten away the timid small animals like birds, rabbit and etc. Thanks in advance!
Have a nice day and happy posting!

You are very much welcome katsalot.
Oh I see! How great is your camera! It serves the purpose so wonderful! After googling a while ago, I had seen the lovely appearance of Canon Powershot A1000Is online. The price was reasonable as well. Mine is an Olympus U760 all weather. It's thin, light and silver in color. It's convenient and handy while carrying around.
How nice to own a brand new digital camera. I feel excited too when I first own a new digital camera. Hopefully you could enjoy snapping beautiful autumn picture heartily during your leisure time. It's a great pleasure as well to watch the newly snatched either on the tv or pc screen
Take care and happy posting

Thankyou. My camera is a Canon Powershot A1000IS - not a DSLR, just a compact camera. I've only had it a few weeks, so I haven't taken many pictures with it yet, but so far I am very pleased with it.

I almost always have a camera with me. I have captured some great sunsets. I will be driving and see the setting sun and the colors or the clouds and stop to take a picture. If I had to go home to get a camera the "Sweet Colors" would be gone.

Good idea. Sunsets can change very quickly. I've missed lots of rainbows as well from not having a camera ready.

I like the pictures, so pretty and nicely captured too.
It happened to me a lot of times. Used to be, I don't like photographing and now I love it very much. Now I am working to buy a great camera and preferably dslr camera. I don't know when I will able to buy that kind of camera, but till then, I am using my current camera and learn how to capture picture nicely. I know that it need skills and i am willing to learn.

Yes, it really is. I can't count the number of times I've wished I had a camera with me before, but I did get lucky this time!
