Do you speculate in the stock market?

I use partial time to learning stock market and buy/sell stock befor going to work. Do you think it will affect your job? If you buyed a kind of stock do you think about it all day,want to know it is raised or falled very much and can't work well?
Can you share your experiences about it if you are a stock-holder?

We have some stocks in a company that i worked for a long time ago and over the years they have gone up and doubled a number of times. They dropped real low this last year, and our just starting to go back up again.
I do not know a whole lot about the stock market, and the few stocks that i have i am going to use to help supplement my retirement someday. So i hope that they go back up again.
