I knwo it'll be an issue that'll exsist till the end of the internet, but I really, really, reallllyyy HATE when people respond to discussions with nothing to actually add to the discussion.
For example I posted a discussion the other day asking people to share their favorite things of a topic and shred my own favorites, and most of the responses i got were criticisms of how "dumb" or "unprofessional" my choices were and how righteous the responder's opinion was.
Sometimes I wish I could punch people through the computer screen, lol. xD

People should be able to express their criticism, or at least their difference in what your tastes are...
as an example... let's say you posted a question
What's your favorite Ice Cream; mine is Vanilla....
others should be able to disagree with you that vanilla is not the best flavor (in their opinion) though labeling your choice as 'dumb' or 'unprofessional' [not really relevant in this scenario] is the wrong thing to do and is the reason we get to vote on whether the response was good or bad.
Ignore the idiots and embrace those who have more taste than to just jabber.
Of course if something is explicit it needs to be reported.
Thanks

I know what you mean. I tend to ignore responses like that. Some people are just inconsiderate. Comment back to them :)
