I have had my braces on now for 18months and they have come a long way and are now so Beautifully straight...
I am off to the Dentist this afternoon, hopefully to get them off..
I am excited and anxious at the same time.. I have had them for so long I have grown use to them...
How did you find leeding up to having your Braces Removed?

Hello pinklilly
I put my braces this year, so i have still have a long way until i got my braces removed. I dont feel anything uncomfortable except when i got them adjust. The first days were the worse, they felt so uncomfortable. But once you get used to them, its like not having anything

I had my braces put on about seventeen years ago. I had them on for almost four years. I remember when they were first removed. My teeth felt so strange. I hadn't been able to actually feel them in four years, and they felt almost like Jello. To this day, though, I can still remember how my braces felt. Sometimes I will catch myself unconsciously curling my upper lip like I used to do when my teeth were hurting. Congrats on getting yours removed!

Thank You rmorefield for you comment..
I went that day and was very anxious about getting them removed and if it was too early so we kept them on longer it will be now in the new year.. I was told it was better to wait till we were both sure about removing them...
I have been told by many that when they are removed the feel slimy because you have been so use to the rough metal brackets...

It could make a crooked teeth straight making a crowning glory look stunningly pretty though at the first experience of having braces is quite painful and it is hard to eat large amounts of food. The cleaning of the teeth is hard to when food debris is caught between braces. Though, with proper adjustment one could live with and need to be patience till the teeth attain its proper alignment it could be remove within 4 to 6 months depending on the complexity of the procedures.
