Due to back to back typhoon that hit Philippines, National Food Authority or NFA announces the possibility of having food shortage for the coming year 2010. Typhoon Pepeng caused mudslide, flooding and killed more than 600 people and submerged rice paddies in central and Southern Luzon. Damaged caused by Pepeng was estimated $207 million on Philippine agriculture. Rex Estoperez, spokesman of NFA, said that Philippines have enough supply that will last for 65 days and Philippines are now importing rice to Thailand, Vietnam, China, Pakistan, Australia, the United States and India for rice supply. 65 days, do you think thats enough?
