I think it is possible. As long as the person can make it's own image, create is own follower and have a big party to support it. Now, our people doesnt really care about your races, as long you are indonesian, and have a capability of being a leader of the country and have enough support, it is a possible thing to do.

i disagree with you my friends. maybe you see in TV that our people seems never care about race and other but if you are socialize with them, you can know the real answer. of course, the race is still important for our people. dont deny the competition between jawa island and outside jawa island. it began since Soeharto lead this country. he make our country is seems like that

I don't really thing race play a big part in the election. Yusuf kalla is an example of a strong candidate outside of java. What make Yusuf kalla lost is not because he is non java, but because SBY is more popular then him and get a better strategy and a better success team.
What make non java not become a president until now is because there is no strong character from non java that play a big part in a Politic Party that have enough support and enough chance beside Yusuf Kalla.
And i also sure if the election is between Mega And JK, JK will be the winner because most of JK supporter is also SBY supporter. And they love SBY more then they love JK.
