How do you keep a positive attitude when you're surrounded with negative environment? I mean, i always hear stories about other person or superiors, people who do nothing but complain. It is so demoralizing when you are with this kind even when you try so hard not to participate in their misery..What do you usually do?

stay away from this kind of people, do my own things, reading, nad writing, a new passion that I discovered recently after I met with so many negative people. It so hard to be positive all the time, as to be more negative is much easier and real, but its not good. To be a positive need a hard work as its not easy to chhange your mind setting after so long being shaped in other way around. But there are so many good things if you try hard to be positive. Good luck to you.

hi there,
Well, i just let them be, i try to understand as much as i can then when they cool down i'll just smile and say we are a product of our choices.

Interesting discussion!
Well, I actually have that kind of person in my workplace. He does nothing other than complaining. Everything makes him upset, be it his life, the new rules of our office, everything! He complains with loud voice so everyone in the room can hear him.
I Think it's embarrassing.
Everybody has his/her own problems, it's simply about dealing with it. I always ignore this kind of person. I hear what he says, but I refuse to respond and I will move on, and enjoy working. Being grateful is the key if you want to stay positive in life. It's not having what you want, it's wanting what you've got.

thanks for joining the discussion. I feel only pity for a person who cannot have a choice to be positive in life.Although we can't blame them for being that way, we can't help unless they help themselves..
