Ok, so after I dropped my son off at school today I had to run into the grocery store to get a few things I still needed for dinner tonight... and in front of my grocery store is a little shopping mall that has a Starbucks in it.
Now I normally dont pay attention to much to this little shopping mall because..
1) I never have any extra money to go there
2) It also has a restauraunt that doesnt open until later and I we dont eat there much
But today, I was thinking they must be giving something away, there MUST have been 8 cars at least in the drive thru!!
So this got me thinking...since I have never had a Starbucks coffee or have never been in a Starbucks for that matter.... Is there coffee really that good??
Do you buy coffee from Starbucks?? Do you have a coffee place that you go to?? I know Mcdonalds are now selling coffees and they said last year that it hurt Starbucks business because they are cheaper but still a good coffee.... but according to the line here I wouldnt think so!!
Did you use to go to a certain place to buy a coffee and now get it somewhere else because of price/quality??

Starbucks here in Australia is popular with teenagers, but if you want a really good coffee that doesn't feel 'mass-produced' you will find an independent coffee house you really like and stick with it. I hate going anywhere other than my two usual spots (one near work, one near home) as they know me, and know how I like my coffee :)

that is exactly how I would be too!!! go with what I like over what is the name of the place...and especially when they get to know you, they make it the way you like it!!!
thanks for the response and have a great day!!

I honestly have never tasted Starbucks coffee. I cannot see paying that for coffee. I don't care for flavors added, so it really doesn't matter to me.

I havent either....so I dont know what the fuss is all about and I am not a big coffee drinker myself so it isnt something that I feel I am missing out on as well.
besides they said on the news this year that Mcdonalds coffees are really good and half the price... not that I get it from there either!! but it struck me odd that this line was so long for there coffee!!
thanks for the response and have a great day!!

I only have had a couple of cups.....way too strong for me. I like mine a bit on the light side....however.....their chai tea rocks! That is what got me started on Chai in the first place and their desserts/coffee cakes etc are very good. But I don't like paying the prices they have either....ours here in town actually went out of business and it's soon going to be a Kentucky fried chicken.....

I practically lived in Starbucks when I was in college. It's probably a good thing that you haven't been there...it's quite expensive and extremely addictive. I used to blow at least a hundred dollars a month on Starbucks coffee. While their coffee is not that great, Starbucks does have a few advantages. It is indeed the fast food of coffee, and that is the appeal of it- you can grab it on the go so it's extremely convenient. Also, they have a lot of specialty mixed drinks that many independently- ran coffee shops do not offer. IF you end up going though, you might want to try the iced green tea latte. It is to die for!
