Mylot Increasing Typing Speed

You are so right. I have found that my typing skills have improved a lot since i have been here, I have also learned that my spelling has also improved.

Hmm you might be right, I'm not sure that our typing speed is increasing more likely that we are making less mistakes when typing. However you will find that certain words are typed wrong frequently regardless of how much time we spend typing. I think my touch typing has improved lots in recent months! I'm glad that you are finding your typing speed is increasing it certainly is beneficial and rewarding to type for ages without making mistakes or pausing etc. It is a good point that I haven't seen raised before on here so well done:)

YES! I just think the same way you do. I used to type very very slowly, but since I deal with internet and being a member of myLot, my typing speed was increasing and it keeps increasing. Very happy with it. It's just another advantage for me. =)

Yes, for your speed to increase the more you type the faster you can get and hopeful your typing words are spelled right. I do not know if my typing speed has increase from what it is but I do know that I can do more discussion than when I first started.

I completely agree with you about mylot helping to increase my typing speed. I've always been a pretty good typist, but in the time that I've been a member of mylot it seems like I am able to type faster than ever. I'd love to have the opportunity to find something to actually test my typing speed to see what my words per minute are now, but I lost my typing tutor program when I lost my old computer. I was typing about 60 wpm before I started mylotting, but there is no doubt in my mind that I am now able to type at least 75 words per minute.

Thats really true . If we continuously take part in discussions and actively respond then it is very much advantageous for our typing skills . I have found out in just a small time of 3 days , the time since I have joined mylot. I have been typing better since yesterday . I feel it really helps to be active on mylot , what is more important that we earn as well.

Yes its true i believe that. If you often participate in discussions and you usually type long response, you are definitely training yourself to type fast. I believe this place is a very good training ground for practicing English and typing. It also improves communication skills and thought us to interact with people. So i really agree with you.

When I joined myLot, I was much enthusiastic and typed day and night. That helped in my speed as well as my efficiency in English. Now the 1 year break just demolished the feeling, and I am afraid I am again in primary stage at both the fronts! Practice of typing increases the speed, that I learned while studying in high school. Those were the days I could easily touch type, a skill now I crave to get again...

I joined MyLot one year ago, and I also think that my typing speed has increased. I learned to type almost 20 years ago, but since then I have developed my own "system", and I am able to type quite fast. MyLot is a great way to improve my typing speed, and I have also improved my grammar, my spelling and my vocabulary. The more I write the easier it gets for me to write, and it is nice to get a chance to practice. I also enjoy to learn new things and make new friends, and that is one of the reasons why MyLot is much more than an earning site. I feel that I gain a lot of other things, too.

You are right, my typing speed has increased a little. Posting discussions and responses are not only earning money but also improve our typing speed and English knowledge. Instead of practicing typing through softwares, you can write in mylot. I hope, all mylot members may have improved their typing speed.

Yes this is. and the thing is good that to make accurate discussions and grammatically and syntactically correct we dont ignore the spell errors ,which also increases the accuracy. that is one of the best improvement i have seen in me that i am now typing accurately, even i had earlier the better speed. but all the words were not correct by syntax.

I feel the same way. I have always been a fast typist, but now I am even faster. Being on mylot also increases your writing skills. I feel comfortable writing on a variety of topics, since I've joined mylot. You learn so much, as well. There are so many topics to choose from and so many facts and opinions on each topic. I think mylot helps us all become better communicators, writers, and typists. Just out of curiosity, do you know how fast you typed before mylot and how fast you type now. It would be an interesting experiment. I might start from today and time myself. After one month I will time myself again and see if there is any improvement.

i definetly agree with that...taking part in the discussion we have been typing a lof at a faster rate and that have definelty improved my typing speed to a very good extent.. haha i think that is another benefit from mylof in addition to making new friends and getting money for the participation.. great isnt it?

Hi pulkitgenius, What you are saying is 10)% correct as contributing more and more articles in mylot helps anyone to increase their typing speed. As someone else said, the only way to increase typing speed is by repeated practice. But i dont feel a difference as i am already typing at an average of 45-50 wpm(Words per minute). Well I used to sneak online and chat under the monitors dim light. There was no other way for me to type than to learn the keys. Now i've got super human typing speed. Well at least to shock all the newbies. Take care

I am working since few months back, its really amazing and I improved my knowledge in various topics. As well I have improved my typing skills. Its really amazing to materialize our ideas into text format. At least I submit ten responds per day, it will surely improve typing speed.

I never thought of that until I saw your discussion. Yes definitely, i think i type faster and accurate now. Another is it helped me to improve my spelling and a bit of my grammar (i hopelol)... But it makes my mind alert and I gain more creative ideas in answering discussions, it expands my horizon and point of view.

Its absolutely true that my speed of typing has also improved. I have not calculated it how much as per minute I can type now but it has improved significantly to be sure. Its been almost 3 weeks I have joined here and I am really happy about that.

Hi..pulkitgenius,i have been a mylot user for past two weeks.Yes i agree with you,comparatively my typing speed has increased after i started writing discussions on mylot and not just that here after i joined mylot community i have got a better place to improve my knowledge of literal english as well as some of the slang words which i was not aware of,i am glad i am on mylot.Mylot has changed my life in a constructive way.It also enables us to earn while we learn..isn't it a great place to be.....Since i am improving in my typing skills,i think in coming days if i happened to work in computer based job its going to help me a lot.....thanks to mylot.
