Well i feel like that all the time just recently.Take today for instance well my daughter rings me and says can she have a lift as her uncle had let her down.I asked when she wanted the lift she says there and then so i jumped to it for her. Then this afternoon i had two people come round the first one wanted a head ache tablet as well as a cuppa the other one wanted to borrow some cigarettes and a cuppa. No doubt it will be the same again tomorrow.

Hi jugs Are you sure that we are not related...LOL..I have those same kind of problems. My youngest son just called yesterday and he has to go out of town for training for his job. His car doesnt have any insurance on it and wanted to know if he could use my truck for the day. Then last night my neighbor came over and offer me 50 cents for a couple of cigerettes. I think that I have a sign on my head that says Yes I Will...LOL..I guess we need to get a backbone to us and learn how to say no to things..Keep smiling my friend..

Lol,we ought to have a game of snap as we have soo much in common.I am the same i just can not say no either, the thing that makes it worse is that they have more money going into their house than we do as well as they go on holidays.

Yeah really..My son just two months ago was going out to eat and we was doing good to get groceries in the house. I can't understand them either. I guess we never will. The next time that I really want to say no...I will think of you and this discussion..LOL..Keep smiling my friend.

Hi ya jugsjugs I certainly feel like that sometimes. Like sometimes it seems like everyone in my life seems to just take take take and there is no give!! There are a couple of people at the moment that I am not going out of my way for at the moment that's for sure. I am always there for my friends but sometimes enough is enough for a while!!

Basically, I think people put me on all the time and I just don't know it. The second thing aobut this is that those people, the one with the cuppa and headache tablets and cigs etc are probably people who need companionship more than the cuppa or tablet. Remember, the need to be with others and share the day's events is a major reason for most things we do. I think it could be the major reason for the success of sites like Twitter, for example. Think about this. Its valid.

It was not your daughter fault that her uncle let her down at least you will now be able to spend sometime with your daughter be thankful for that. Sometimes people come around and ask for little things just because they want the other person company be thankful it is you and really they did not ask for a whole lot.

I sometimes feel this way. It feels like I am always doing something for someone else but when I need something from someone I never get it. It can be discouraging at times. But I figure eventually I will get what I have coming to me as long as I am a good person and keep helping other people out.

I see yourself on my mother's situation. I think everyone of us are depending on her. Like even a simple things we demand her to do it for us. Now I realized it is not good scenario, we must do our part. The simplest things can be done by ourselves and we don't have to ask for someone's help to do that for us. In your situation, maybe because it is you that can help them that is why they are asking for your help everytime. They can depend on you. I know sometimes it leads to like this like you are tired of doing everything for everyone. The very good thing you can do is to tell them how you feel.

Yes, and I do not mind so much the little things...but! When the "favors" cost me too much time, money, or effort and energy (I have a chronic pain illness or two or three) I have learned to say no in a polite but firm way. Just two little letters that free up time, energy, and money for things YOU need to live. And...it spares you a lot of anger or resentment at others...the beauty of the word NO. Karen

i sometimes feel i'm putting on people, coz the situation i'm in at the moment makes be not want to be at home so i go to my friends on a regular basis, normally for a few hours at a time, which i don't like doing, coz i'd hate to outstay my welcome and annoy people,,,as for people putting on me,i don't think they do,but i do like to help my friends if i can, even if it means i go without

I can appreciate that it might be tiresome after a while but you should be flattered that you are the person they all go to when they need something or someone to talk to! They might be asking for things from you but they might just want your company! I think you should enjoy being the first one called upon:)
