Hi there, this is not only a shameless plug for another silly Facebook app but also a question for anybody who does the Cafe World thing.
Why are the people we hire so slow? LOL! I have watched my waiter (who actually IS a good friend of mine) ignore people who come into my cafe! No wonder my rating plummets if she does it too often. I'd rather she serve everybody INSTEAD of cleaning up, that can be done as long as people are served before they walk out because they were ignored!
Also, I am curious about how high I have to get in order to get access to more stoves and more counters. I can't seem to find any help information that addresses either question. Do you know? Tell me!

Hi. I play Cafe World also and you are right, it is a pretty addicting game. Regarding your query about your waiter being slow, I have a solution for you, just put your counters one space before your tables so serving will not be slow. Anyway, good luck on your Cafe. :)

Thanks! I figured it out after visiting some of my friends' cafes. There's a good way to path things and a bad way, and I was doing it the bad way. My waiters are pretty much locked inbetween the pickup counter and the tables so they only have a small area to path, so they of course go the path of least resistance because they have no other choice lol. When I had it laid out with tables in rows, they would sometimes walk all the way around when it would have been faster to go through the middle, and it caused some customers to walk out without eating. It was terrible!

Ah another Cafe World fanatic. As far as getting more stoves or counters, it does take awhile, you have to acquire so many levels to get the "extras"---I'm at level 18 and have three waiters, eight stoves and five counters, but it took me ages to get all that. I wonder how many levels there are in the first place. As far as the waiters being slow...lol...one thing I notice if the waiters are slow in cleaning the tables and a new "customer" comes in and is sitting at the spot, if the table isn't cleaned the customer walks out as well. Going to PM you to add you as a friend there, so we can be "neighbors"

I got your message and gave you my info. I looked for you but you must be private because I only got two matching name results and neither one looked like you unless you live in South Africa or are about 19 years old LOL! Anyway, request me when possible and then we can be neighbors.
My waiters are doing much better now that I changed the flow of my cafe. I made a horse shoe shape counter and it's easier for them to clear and serve so they are faster. I am trying to figure out why sometimes my waiters IGNORE a customer that walks in - if there are two of them, ONE of them should naturally go serve whomever walks in whenever someone walks in, so it really befuddles me when someone walks in and one of them is serving someone else and the other is clearing something, and NEITHER one serves the new customer, who then gives me a thumb down and ruins my buzz rating lol.

Yes, I have that application too. Actually, I'm cooking up some food as I type. Love multi tasking! lol.
The reason why it seems slow is because of the way they have put that game together, the size of the server they use and the number of people using it at any one time. It is just pure luck if it isn't super slow.

I also play Cafe World in Facebook, I am already in level 21 and the last recipe that had been available for me to serve in the VooDoo Salad which takes 12 hours to cook. I have 8 stoves, 5 counters and four employees, I earned those level after levels, one at a time. I've read lots of tips and advises on this thread and I/m glad that you already found the trick in making your employees work faster, I, on the hand arrange my tables in chairs, bar style, I put them together in a U-shape (without the curve edges, *grins*) while the stove, counters, chef and servers are inside that U, giving me ample space to rack on tables thus I can serve more customers plus it made serving food easier as they (the employees) doesn't circle around anymore to reach a certain customer as he/she is stock in that U-shape space, so they just go direct to where they wanna go, and it actually works because my thumbs up rating spiked up at 105, and I guess that is the rating cap as it didn't went up after that though I cooked more and serve the drinks that was gifted to me, the rating just stays at 105.
Another strategy that I used is I alloted 5 of my stoves to cooking the 1day and 2days recipe, as they give more points to level up and it has more servings and higher price. The other three are used to cook the 5, 15, 30 minutes to 1 hour, 2hours recipe. When I am about to sleep, I cook dishes that takes 12 or 8 hours to cook depending on how long I think I'm going to stay in bed, if I'm going some place for a while or going to take a nap with my son, I cook the 4-hour recipe to give me ample time to get back without worrying about getting it spoiled. Ther, that's just about it.
