I cook cakes at least once in a week for my children, but most of the times I prefer to buy them. I am not a professional in cooking cakes, the cakes sometimes do not become good and tasty. recently I bought a recipe book on cakes cooking since then I am trying to learn to more and in some couples of days I may become a good cook...Do you cook cakes often or you prefer to buy them?

Hi Velentina, good day to you.
I used to have no interest at all with baking. But since I have my own blog and get to know my blogging friends, I have learned more about baking cakes and started to bake one or I should say "steam" one. I got the steam banana cake recipe from my friend and I had a lot of fun on my first attempt. The outcome was not bad and it motivated more into baking.
I really hope that I have more time to bake a cake for my family but seems like with my girl tagging along with me whenever I go, therefore my "mission" could not be accomplished.
For me, most of the time I also prefer to buy cake from bakery shop, especially birthday cake. They are really nicely decorated and with a lot of cake flavours available. So at this moment (since I am not professional in decorating a cake yet), so I still prefer to buy from outside.
Happy Baking to you.

When my son was younger I would cook cakes for his birthday. And when it was his burn to take a snack to class I would make a cake batter and then make cupcake so he could take them to school. For a long time now it has just been me and my husband so if we want cupcake I just buy them at the store.
