I find it interesting that helium has a number of titles relating to mythlogy for the months of the year. When I saw this I thought of a particular myLotter who writes for helium. I hope he will see this discussion and be able to be the first to write to those titles.
There are so many thousands of empty titles on helium it could take weeks to sort through them all. The key in finding the right ones for you is in knowing how to look.
Now that the competitive percentage required for helium titles has dropped to ten percent it makes it easier than ever to maintain a decent writing score.

Not sure whether you meant me or someone else, as I do like to write to mythology topic as I find them extremely interesting.
I had a quick look at the open titles, and whilst interesting would earn me very little as they are in the society and culture channel, and thus not eligible for upfront or empty title bonuses. If I thought page views would be decent that wouldn't stop me but in general mythology is not a big earner.
Seem to have a stalker on helium at the moment, as keep finding the same writer writing articles to topics I have written. Wouldn't mind especially but rather than adding anything new to the topic they just rewrite what others have written, and end up with incorrect facts.

I did mean you. That is odd about your helium stalker. Just when I started to pull my writing score out of the crapper someone or a few someones have been adding articles to my 1 of 1 titles. Don't people realize they earn more with better scores and more stars?

how about those that add an article to titles that already have five articles in them. No upfront and the articles aren't even that popular for daily revenue share.

Hi Canellita, unless you are really good at mythology topics and and write without much research, I dont think writing to those titles are worthwhile.
There is no upfront payment, and very unlikely to get passive income from those topics.
I seldom write to existing empty titles in Helium. However, i like to submit my own titles. One of my best title in Helium makes an average of $2 per month until someone adds in a title. It's still not a competitive title yet, but the other writer utilize better seo technique with higher keyword density. Now the average earning drops to $1.50 per month.

Hi Canellita, I also notice that those articles with strong keyword density earn more than those without.
Actually I hate to repeat and use the same keywords over and over again. It's kind of writing dilution, but then the search engines do not have the intelligence to index those articles without keywords repetition.
i check out the passive income from AC and Helium just now. The best earners differ. Some of those Economics articles are doing very well in AC, but they hardly earn anything in Helium.

I think I am getting better at SEO because even when my articles are not ranked at #1 on helium they sometimes do ok in page view earnings. Mythology is not my strog point but I thought I would mention it in case anyone was interested.

I wonder why there is so much diversity between sites. I have been wanting to experiment between the two and see if the same types of articles will earn at AC as well as they do at helium but I have not really had the time. I prefer to post AC articles that are eligible for upfront payments.

You raised some points about why people write to articles that are 1 of 1 or have more than 5 articles already. I write to both, the reason being that I am trying to get to 300 titles, and I write to the areas that I know. If I have a good working knowledge of a title, I will write to it, no matter how many others already have. Does this always serve my best short-term interest (making money)? No, but it may serve my long-term interest (getting to 300 articles and a new star).
Hope this might explain the strange behavior. That being said, I don't (or haven't yet) written to mythology.

Oh, I totally get that, and I have done that; it's to be expected with certain topics like kids, relationships and holidays and so forth. It just seems that lately my writing score has been under attack.
