Is it not stange that we cry whenever we are hurt or suffer some tragedies, and at times even when we laugh out loudly also we cry ? Why do we cry at all? What purpose does crying serve ? It is considered that ladies crying is okay, but when gents cry, it is considered to be "unmanly". Why is it so ?

First i do not think that a man crying is unmanly.......
We cry when we are happy, and when we are sad, or when we hurt.
Crying is a way to release tension, and it is also a way for our body to release toxins. I do not know why we have to do it, only that it is a human reaction to different things, and it does not mean that someone is weaker because they do it.

Thanks for the meaningful comments. We, both laugh and cry, when we are happy. While "laughing", is recommeded to be practised, whenever and wherver possible, why is it that "crying" is not recommended likewise ? And again someone who often falls into this crying habit even at the slightest provocation, is he considered to be a weak person or a strong person ?
