Autism refers to a mental condition wherea child's brain remains underdeveloped, from the birth. It is very hard for them to learn the common things of life. I am teaching a class 5th student of CBSE, Maths. He is autistic and it is very hard to teach him. 7 months of the session has passed but even now only 5 of 11 chapters has been covered by him. I know him since 2 years and have seen a lot of change in him.Teaching such students is areal challenge for a teacher. Have you ever taught such a child?

Autistic children are special children. There are varying degrees of autism and a each child is a case of his own. Surprisingly, in the past decade, it seems that there is already an autistic child in every clan. Even if I am not actually taught autistic children formally, encounters with some are inevitable. It takes a lot of patience and self-sacrifice to handle just one child. I commend you for accepting the task. Your treasure in heaven must be loaded already.

Yes I have tried teaching an autistic student before.Twice and both are male. They were a 2nd grader and was mixed with ordinary kids but on the 2nd section. The two of them are both good in English but really bad with mathematics.
