Latest bleach episode .... Byakuya's betrayal

Did you guys watch the latest bleach episode??Byakuya betrays the shinigamis and becomes an ally of the zanpaktou.He also kills kuchiki byakuyas zanpakyou.I am a byakuya fan but I had no idea he was joining the dark side.When renji questioned him about his betrayal he replied saying that he is proud man.Wonder what the creators are upto with him???...But in my personal opinion byakuya hasnt betrayed the shinigami.Because nowhere in the manga does it show him betraying anyone.He is always loyal to his squad.
speaking of the manga I havent seen him making an appearance in ages..I wonder why they are holding him back when such a crucial battle is going on aftter he is a captain....anyway post your views on what you think about byakuya

I always thought he betrayed the Shinigamis because he's trying to find out more about him. Kinda like a covert-ops thing. I was also thinking that it could have something to do with whoever Muramasa's owner was. Maybe he's related to Byakuya in some way.

I don't know what pride does have to do with it. Doesn't make any sense. If he's proud to be shinigami, he would never betray them. I think he has a good reason to do that and we'll find about it later.

Hmmm my opinion is Byakuya actually hypnosis by Muramasa like other zanpakutou. Because his instinct is always protect his pride so Byakuya fall to his instinct and become Muramasa ally. Anyway it still too early to predict and this filler actually good and enjoyable ^^
