Do you drink coffee? What are the statistics on coffee nowadays? Is it good for you? Is it bad for you? Is it another one of those things that "in moderation, it's okay"? If you drink it, how do you take it? How often do you drink it? If you don't drink coffee, what do you drink instead? I am one of those very rare people out there that does NOT drink coffee. I never acquired the taste for it, and don't feel that I'm missing out on anything either. I get my "need for caffeine" from drinking diet pop. Part of me wonders if I should work on acquiring that taste for coffee, because it seems like such a "grown up" thing to drink. (I'm almost 37 and still feel like a kid much of the time).

Hi, CanadaGal Yes, I drink coffee. And yes, I believe that coffee has its benefits but too much of it is not good for me. My favorite is strong, a little bitter and a little sweet cup of coffee. I used to drink about 3 to 5 cups a day, more if I could have my way. However, I am trying to get pregnant now so I discipline myself to a maximum of 2 cups a day. 3 if it's a busy and stressful day. Cheers!

i love coffee. I drink it because it tastes good, not because I want or need to get a buzz. I love the taste of a good cup of coffee. It has to be quality coffee, not instant, or Starbucks. LOL I go to Second Cup and get a nice mocha latte every day. I also bring home coffee beans from there for us to grind at home, and use.

I used to drink a lot of regular coffee, but I stopped because the caffeine in it made me restless and unable to sleep at night. Now whenever I crave coffee, I drink decaf coffee. I like it with some cream and artificial sweetener or sometimes I'll put regular milk in it. I usually use fat free milk for my coffee. I also like to put ice cream in it or cookies when I really have a sweet tooth.

I drink coffee at least 1-2 a day if not more. I work graveyard shift, so coffee has become my reliable get-me-by at 4 am! I see just as many people drinking energy drinks as I do coffee! I have always drank coffee with sugar and creamm. A study done at Harvard suggests coffee has plenty of benefits from lowering risks of Diabetes and Parkinson's to reducing headaches and giving a boost in mood. I'm sure there have been other studies saying otherwise, but as 1 of the 108 million Americans that partake, I like to believe that first opinion!

I love coffee so much that any blend will do! I don't feel that pepped up when I do not have coffee flowing in my blood vessels.

I am a coffee drinker. If you can call someone who drinks 15 cups a day an addict then I guess I am. There are conflicting publications as to how much a person can take a day and what benefits there are in drinking coffee. Rich in antioxidants that are good for the body, rich in caffeine which is bad, maximum of 5 cups a day, at least one cup a day and so forth and so on. All I know is I love coffee and I have not just the point of giving it up. enjoy!

Hello CanadaGal. I drink either coffee or tea, but most of the time I drink tea. When I feel that I am not energetic enough, I will drink a small pack of instant coffee kept in the house. It works a lot.

aww coffee is not a sign of being grown up. I started drinking coffee at age 12 and I am about as immature as you can be at age 53. ok , so yes...they are finding some health benefits to coffee. There are also some negatives. I think that like everything else we do...moderation is "key".

I have to admit that I really like coffee, especially when I'm tired! I don't think coffee really has any properties that make it good for you, but I also don't think it's as bad as some would have you believe. Everything in moderation is usually the key. Soda, though, is just as bad as coffee and has more calories. I wouldn't take up drinking coffee just to feel older. If you need your Starbucks cup to fit in or something, get a warm vanilla creme or other non-caffeinated option.

Yes I do drink coffee. I prefer the brewed native coffee which is much cheaper but tastes great than the coffee sold on the supermarkets which are usually instant coffee. I am a grown up man now but I think that coffee drinking is not prohibited to children. I allow my children to drink if they want to. But they don't like most of the time. They prefer milk or chocolate.

Hi canadagal, your not the only one,i am there to join your category.I too dont drink coffee, never feel for it because your are not missing out anything.Instead feel happy that you can start your day even without consuming coffee, because i have seen people who drink coffee regularly and over the years they have become addicted to it,they cant start their routine without having coffee. One such example is my mom,she is so dependant on that, she needs coffee as soon as she gets up or less you can find her sitting back lazily,my mom can starve without food for a day but not without coffee. And also it is true that coffee gives bad breath and also if proper care is not taken tooth turns yellowish due to continued coffee consumption. However i have read in some articles that these days doctors do recommend coffee for some patients for its health benefits.Various research is also being done to prove health benefits of coffee,i think those recommended can have coffee in moderate for health reason otherwise coffee can be abandoned.
