There is something in compared to the original one that can not be compared to any other car chase flick. Was it the car itself? Was it the way the story was put together? I can see why it is considered a cult classic. They tried to do it again with Viggo Mortensen playing Kowalski. No. And Jason Preistley playing the Super Soul part. What the...? There are some things that should not be redone. But get this...word 'round the campfire is that they are actually gearing up for a theatrical remake. Wow! Wonder who is going to play Kowalski now? Well, they got the car. Since I have seen, I only saw one white Challenger in Canada. No where else have I seen a replica but I tell you, this new Challenger bears close. Resemblence? Pure muscle! Awesome looking exterior but not pleased with the interior. Almost like the Ford Mustang. Nice exterior but that is it. Let's see what this new movie brings.

I loved 'the other one', and haven't seen the original. Never even knew it existed. Great movie though.

Listen and listen well..hehehe...as if you can hear my voice? Sure. There is an original. It came out in 1971. This movie is much, much better than the second one. You know you see movies and go, 'No'. They should never re-do certain movies and that is becoming very popular nowadays. People sometimes don't know of the 'originals' and thus miss out on the real feel of what made the original a cult classic. See it, though. If you can manage to get your hands on a version.
